PrOjEcT Z06 VETTE
ok i just bought a 2005 Z06 corvette and wanted to paint it a metallic blue. so far i just painted it with some primer but i still need to do some work to get it mounted onto the chassis. I also wanted to know where could i get the xmod spacers instead of making my own.
Jon (will post pics when the car arrives at my home. was shipped from florida.)

your wanting it on a gen1 or evo ?? xmodsinternational.com has the evo spacer and gen1's all u have to do is bring the rear back some but u'll need new drive shafts to tht linkth. and the the matalic blue would look nice keep me updated.

its going to be on an evo chassis but i truthly didnt pay attention to anyone else's car i just liked the color metallic blue ever since the 2004 NYC auto show. if you have any suggestions for colors im open.

just make sure its not this shade of a met. blue or i'll make you redo it
  i like that you're goin for a z06 tho. i thought about it but didnt want to have to redo the rear window to look right so i just went for the c5 look

i was to thinking to make it a little darker than the the C5 noturday made that was my idea. the color was like a metallic royal blue if i can find it.

o i finally got the paint its going to be an electric blue should come out nice. I have to work on the body before i paint this time. Might take me longer because i sprained my thumb so it kinda sucks that i have to wait for it to heal before i can finish my project off wll take pictues of what i have so far.

ok here is an update on what i did to the hood of the car to make sure it was what i wanted it to become. I used a grey as a primer and then used Dupicolor electron blue, since i used a grey primer it came out as a darker color. the pictures are before the 2nd coat of paint and clear coat will have updates soon. Enjoy:

that sucks, if i had a spare one i'd sell it to u cheap for a good cause but im still short one chassis, sry. cant wait to see the whole thing painted tho

lol im short 2 one for my vette and one for my NSX but im going to get the rear mount finish hopefully by tonight. Id have to wait for the chassis to do the front but i can at least paint it with the rear mount.

I got the same car yesterday, mines a 2006 though.. I didnt even see this thread... I was going to paint mine blue too but I decided to go with red since I already had a can at my house... Maybe I'll post up some pics within the next few days.. I like the colour your doing... goodjob so far

i just finished painting the interior black thtnks to my art teacher for letting me do it i should be painting the rear mount black aswell to make the interior look more original. i will be painting the body tomorrow as well. does anone have any ideas if to tint the windows or leave it like it originally is?

of there are all 4 windows then spray em black to look more like an xmod but if its just the front and back leave it clear cuz u'll be able to see the inside anyway
