Evo Skyline?!

Ok I was searching ebay for a bit when I came across this.

It is suppose to be a brand new Nissan Skyline. But it is a evo. I find this interesting. I wonder if they have new evos with the old body tops on them. Can someone shed some light on this?

interesting, it does seem that it is supposed to be that way, it has the blue X shaped plastic but also the yellow skyline pic on it, thats deffinatly interesting, he also has a subaru evo looks like

im pretty sure coolcar24th dont mean to intend thats a gen3 xmod. its simply a gen1 body in a box with a evo chassis instead of a gen1 so he and i were confused so he posted this thread

its just a gen1 body with an evo chassis. there have been a couple of those on ebay before.

Just like the others, An Gen1 starter kit where only the Gen1 chassis was swapped out in place of an Evo chassis.

The seller is trying to fool 'untaught eyes' into believing that its a Gen3 XMOD.

Another Evo-Skyline? Is this a joke? Or is someone in the UK doing this in their basement? Or is HPI-Europe doing this to make us North Americans jealous? Even still, I question the validity of all these Evo chassis-Gen1 body XMODS showing up... Anyone want to ring up or send a message to HPI-Europe on this matter?

hum yeah I saw some of these evo with gen1 body on ebay and it had a link to the shop that sells that and it's somewhere in UK but I don't know more

Yeah I bought one from someone else a while back - Evo chassis with 6-cell upgrade - yellow Skyline body plus bodykit - I recently swapped the bodies and made it into my Mustang but when it was a Skyline it was fine only thing I had to do was sand down the front arches and side skirt mounts because the tire kept rubbing.

That's different than this. That guy advertised that he took it out and performed a six cell upgrade then fitted the bodies to the Evo chasis.

This is entirely different because they're advertising it as a NIB original product and judging from the different places I've seen this I'd say it's not a scam. But who knows.

Hmm I disagree he doesn't actually say its new in the box he just says new which doesn't really mean anything! I have a brand new RSX shell and body kit but its actually been out for years now - its new because I've never driven it so it has no scratches or dents! All this guy is selling is a shell and chassis - the box / wrapper and shell could be a few years old he just kept them in mint condition and threw in a evo chassis.

the main thing you and many others are missing is the symbol in the middle of the package.

it says "XMODS Evolution" AND it has the skyline on the bottom of the package, so he couldn't have just thrown in an EVO chassis, or the package would read "XMODS Custom RC"
