Default Dirtbike question.

I have a 2002 Yamaha PW80 2 stroke dirtbike I am fixing to sell, but the only thing is I don't know how much I should list it for. I don't know much my dad paid for it and we just want to sell it since we haven't rode it in over 4 years. We never abused them and serviced them after each outing. It's been sitting outside for a while so the seat is messed up(gonna get new one for it) and the plastic is faded. I put a brand new petcock on it and I am going to clean the carb and get it running good.

So, how much do you guys think I can get for it?

We are original owners too.

i'd say check your local craigslist for comparable bikes and prices...i found 2 on our local...one for $400 and this one for $800...

http://bend.craigslist.org/mcy/2265551093.html

and another in Portland...newer...for $650...

http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/mcy/2280469469.html

and remember thats asking price...in my experience most people will take 2/3 to as low as half of what they wanted...especially with cash...

good luck with your sale

Yeaa, id say you'd be lucky to get 800, 600 is probably more like it, And at that price, if you dont need the money id just keep it, there fun just to boot around on lol

They're most def fun to ride around on, but my dad wants to get rid of it. After this one I have to start on our 01 xr100. I checked craigslist but hevn't seen any suprisingly. Thanks for the help fellas

But he's most likely going to give me half from each bike and I plan to start saving for a car.

That's cool. I talked to my friends gf today and she said her dad might be interested in both of them when I get them both running and fixed up nice. Music to my ears
