Incredible so far! I believe this project is going to trump your other projects due to the amount of fabrication that will more than likely be involved with it. I too wish that this car would meet production, but I guess that is out of the question now. Good luck on the build!

Looks really nice Bondo! Good luck on the future items, first time I have seen a Camaro re-done into a F-Bird.

I'm glad someone figured it out so now we can talk about it. The only way I knew was I saw the thread on the XI forums. But excellent bodywork so far once again a great project from bondo. Can't wait for the finished results.

so i'm going through Ebay the other day looking for scale misc. for future projects and what do i see?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
SONOFAB!TCH!!

anyways, work has been real slow on this one due to the past buildoff and arranging the sale for surgeon..........and the fact that one of my beagle pups got ahold of the rear bumper.......:gun5:
it WAS looking pretty good for awhile.
i had the updates all ready to go and she said "%^$# THAT!"...nog..nog..nog...

so here's where it sits.
i got the "mica blue" on and the "mile deep black" and re-sanded/re-primed the bumper.
the hood is blue simply because i had a bit of the blue left and said screw it....it's not like i'm losing detail there...plus,mettallics REALLY show you what you missed with the putty and sanding.

here's some of the damage.
it isnt too bad, luckily i got it away from here before she could tear it up too bad. since this pic i've puttied the corners back in.

once i get the bumper squared away(again..), this project should be finished shortly after.

cheers,

Nice project. I wish I could do that. How did you reshape the grill?

So it's a Pontiac Trans AM. There should be a scanner on the front to make it like Knight Rider.

the front bumper was drilled and cut to remove the camaro grill and then i fit in some lights from an old T/A kit that i had from years ago.

i filed the bowtie down abit and puttied it all together.

lol, i'm not going that route with it but i might do one in the future.
i'm not big on doing cars that others have already done and since Xmodification already did one.......
i might do one to round out my firebird collection though, something tells me i'm going to have quite a few in the coming months....

thanks alot guys.
without comments like these,i would have thrown the whole **** car in the trash last night.
would you believe me if i told you my dog got ahold of the bumper AGAIN!!!
i put my parts on the back of my camaro to dry in the sun and the first time i thought the wind had blown it off the back.......nope.....the little #$%#heads were jumping onto the front of my car and walking to the back to get at it.:gun5: :gun5: :gun5: :armed: :armed: :flame:
we need more smilies to appropriately express how P.O.'ed i was.

i didnt get as lucky this time and the bumper is totalled.
luckily my good buddy zippo is going to help me out with two more bumpers.
thanks bro!!
sucks though,i hate having to start back at square one on one of the harder parts of the build.

wish me luck.
thanks again.

cheers,

they've got toys but they're beagle pups so they'll chew pretty much anything they can get ahold of.

i walked out the other day and caught em chewing on tins cans they pulled from the recycling bin....

it's my own fault and i know it but it does'nt make it suck any less.

All you'd need to do is paint on a little triangle. It wouldnt be too hard for your kind of skill.
