Default My new Mitsubishi Evo IX

Basically I took a Tomy Takara Aero RC Drift Package Light....(wow...that is a long name) and robbed the Mitsubishi Evo IX body. These bodies are kinda the same quality and construction of the Xmods bodies. I really think this body has a good look so I spent the time devising a mount system for it and I scrounged around for some rims that might work. I found these PN Racing dish style rims and fitted them with PN Carpet radials and now I have a 1/10 touring style car in 1/28th scale. The chassis is ball bearing, PN Racing Fet stock motor, and just power switch bypass....so mostly stock. It runs great! If you want to see a bigger photo visit:http://diyminituner.blogspot.com

Thanks! This was easy. I hate painting bodies. I like to find existing ones I can mount! I leave the hard work to all the other people on this site.

Thanks. I have only tried it with the Mitsubishi Body, but I am sure other Tomy Aero RC drift bodies will work. The wheel bases only come in two sizes I am fairly confident they all will work.

Dish wheels are PN Racing 0 degree offset MA010 AWD rims modified. You gotta cut the d shape with an Xacto Knife, but it is fairly easy. Then simply mount and you can put any PN Racing tire on it. The dish wheels are available in more than one color, and they even have a set with a variety of offsets, though the 0 degree were the only ones that worked with this particular body. I am sure some of the +1,2,3....etc. would be great for use in widening the stance for other bodies, especially 1/24th scale model bodies. Goto rckenon.com to buy the PN Racing wheels.
Best-

you can get mini-z dish wheels and modify your axle stub so that the wheels fit on the xmod wheel shaft.

mini-z wheels can be bough at Atomicmods.com, rcmart.com, egrracing.com, miraclemart.com, tinyrc, etc.
anyplace that has lots of mini-z stuff, you can get these wheels

if you prefer not to grindthe wheel shaft, you can take a hobby knife and scrape the hole on the wheel so it fits on the xmod shaft.
