What kind of memory card does it need? A micro SD? You gotta be a little more specific then non pro. I would check ebay or an electronics store

You need a memory stick pro duo that comes with a memory stick adapter. That camcorder is out of production and as far as i know so is the standard memory stick. I bought the sandisk at walmart and it comes with the adapter.

I did a quick Google search and a quote from one site:

Memory Stick and SD/MultiMedia card, respectively.

Doesn't say if its's Duo or Pro. The SD card is pretty common and can be found on ebay.

If you could get a pic of the slot, then I could tell immediately what kind of stick it uses.

Later, T.I.M

Tayyab, all I see is Memory Stick from my research, nothing about SD. But it does use minidv tapes.

Most memory stick pro duos have an adapter bundled so they will work in normal memory stick slots. Why they chose to go with such a crappy format. who knows... Maybe Sony is handing them money on the side.

tayyab, it is a memory stick. i know because a memory stick pro duo with adapter fits in it perfectly. however, i need either a memory stick or memory stick duo. i don't want to pay $8 on ebay for 32mb, that's only enough for, what, one 2 minute video? so does anyone know where i can get one with at least 1gb for hopefully under $20? i would also like it by wednesday if you can find a way for that.

He thinks he can't use that.

You CAN though.
Just use the adaptor that comes with it.
That's how I get pictures of my Sony mylo.
It takes the regular card, then I have to use the adaptor to plug it into my computer.
(That's the exact thing I have)

Same thing I use and do, which is why I originally posted it. My camera takes a pro duo but my kids PC does not so we use the adapter. Oh well...
