i have been working on a hobby grade conversion of my own. i am using a subaru body i picked up a while back, it has both mirrors now thanks to chris at x.i., but i am using a 1/18th esc reciever combo i pick up off fiberworkz. a thunder power 1350 mah lipo with 15c continuous and 20c burst. and a thunder power balancer with the lithium charger i had. she is powerful.

motor was rebuilt 3 times. everytime i would max the dyno it would toast the motor. it was a egr can with iso magnets, 17 turn arm, 15 turn arm, and 16 turn arm. now i put in a red radline motor with radline 16 tooth spur gear.
ummm. mind went blank. i'll come back to the specs
glued tires, the glue ran on the outside when i glued them, so i have to peel these off sometime and glue some new ones on.

might need higher winds to keep the heat from friction from burning up the motor since higher winds = lower speed.
and btw, is that 11.1 volts?
that'll fry any 130 size brushed motor.

nope its 7.4, yeah i just put a radline in it, i want to be able to drive this car also, maybe. but i wanted to max the dyno. if i keep this a dyno queen ill probably make a 24 or 25 turn motor for it.

not feelin the paint job. But that chassis is pure sex!

yeah i picked up the body that way, and don't have time to repaint it before a comp im in.

well if its getting a paint job, more power to you

well i'm going to try to enter this in 2 cotm contests this month. xmf and here. so its going to get a suspension upgrade and some better tires, and some better paint. so this weekend i will get cracking on sanding off the old paint, and upgrading the suspension.

update time, i know i can't stick with just one project, i get bored easily.

well the body was really, really rought to start with, and i was able to take care of a lot of the knicks and dings, but some weren't going to come out without a body replacement, so i did what i could. it looks 100 percent better now. still got some more work before its done.
i had a couple of spots the paint got on the window, not sure how, but it did. and i need to touch up all the window trim. i was kinda undecided on paint for a while and i discussed a couple different options with goodfellaz on what to do with it.
so what i came up with is blazing black windows, which need cleaned, gotta love tape residue. and a indy silver base coat to get maximum bondage to the wreck it was. i sanded, and sanded, and sanded but there was some places i couldn't get the old paint off. then over the indy silver i laid some diamond dust. i ran out of the indy silver, but they looked pretty much identical in color, and i had ran out of the indy silver. well enough talk heres some pics, and i have been messing around with the chassis to get a little more ground clearance. i'll get those pics later
now i need to wet sand and clearcoat everything.

long as the grills and windows get their black back, that is one SICK PAINT JOB! loving the color scheme

thanks, and yeah the windows are getting black to black. the masking tape discolored them.

well here's a video of her in action. i only got to about half throttle. i need to tighten up the diff a little, and the only tires i had at the time were hard treads, so she should not spin out when giving it full gas once i change those out. she was still fun, until the motor fried
