Default Batteries

What's the differance you see in performance and life when using Lithion batteries? Also, where can I find them?

Never, EVER, drive your XMod off of a cars roof. No, you can't stop it on the windsheild in time.

They nearly double the top speed of your Xmod, and I am pretty sure that they last longer that regular rechargeable batteries. If you are running a HOT motor, 25T or higher, you will want to get some Li-Poly's. so that means if you want a X-2 lightspeed, polys would be best. Oh, you need to upgrade your FETS or buy a FET board to run poly's and ion's I think.

No need to upgrade the fets for poly´s or ion´s
Just if you get a hot motor

And yes the ion´s are worth it

Hot means the motor gets really hot= more power. it is caused by the motor having more rpms.

Li-Poly and Lith-ion are the kind of batteries you see in the bigger scale rc cars. the bigger the motor the more power needed. that means Li-Poly or Lith-ions are the best choice for these cars beacause the have the most power.

idk what he means by 25T or X-2 someone else will have to tell you that.

if im wrong on either of these 'translations' please tell me what is wrong about it.

"if you dont know where to start.....go back to the beginning"

if your determined to mod your power source, start off simple with 5 or 6 cell upgrades (check the how-to's)
learn a bit more about how the power supply/motor systems operate and advance your skills from there.
beginners should NEVER attempt a li-poly conversion.
li-po cells are extremely dangerous if not cared for properly.

25t stands for the wire turns on a motor armature.
more turns = less topend, more torque.

cheers,
bondo
