Default Noturday Customs Garage

well, it took me a while, but i'm finally getting around to making a scale shop. instead of something on the floor though, mine will be strictly for display. im using a shelf in my tv stand to display my xmods, and thought it would be cool to make it look like a real shop.

i've already finished the floor (which was a biatch because of all the taping/untaping)

so here are some pics of where it stands now
floor in progress

floor finished and put in place

with some of the things i will display

i will also be making walls for it that will have "banners" like this one, and some doors and stuff as well

usually the cobra is sitting on the lift so that its not empty, but it's in the paint booth at the moment, so i'll have pics of it when its finished (probably tmrw)

thanks guys

@ theoriginalrid3r1967 - probably about 5 max without overcrowding, but i'm only gonna have 3 or 4 in there.

@ scionbeave - i didnt keep track of how long it took, but it was probably close to 2 hrs taping it off, and about 30 min taking the tape off after paint

The checker board floor doesn't look all too bad in scale, either. I like the concept.

thanks everyone, i appreciate the feedback. i got the back wall cut out just a few minutes ago. so now you cant see the big gaping hole and the wires anymore

@ stangdude - thats's my mini-z mr-02 BMW M3 GTR

@Texan - i seriously laughed out loud on that one haha

@Donzii - yeah, i tried to make it look about as close to a scale checkered floor would be, i have about 4 different thicknesses of tape, but that one worked the best for me

sorry for the double post, but i have a little update, i got the walls cut out and placed where they will go. the next step will be to put banners and doors and pictures and stuff like that on the walls and then attach the walls with some kind of double sided tape or something

PICS: (sorry for the blurriness, my camera's shake sensitivity broke last time i dropped it)

and in case you were wondering what i was doing with the cobra, here's a hint

thanks guys, i'm pretty happy with the new parts, and yeah, like STL said, i got em at a carshow (told him about it before i updated the thread)

yes the lift is funtional, that would be why it has the "down-stop-up" switch

i worked on the garage door earlier today on the missing wall, then i decided it needed a showroom double door that looks like it goes outside and i'm gonna put an office door/window on the other side, it should be pretty sweet when its all done. stay tuned
