Okay I am starting a project to make the ultimate xmod. I will need some help finding some people to get me parts and items.

Well I am ordering a stock evo chassis off of XI. So thats a start.

Needed (I'm paying for this stuff duhh, not the ideas though lol.):

1. Beast motor for a 2x2 stack. On a mini-z board. I want a beast motor builder to build this =). I'm looking 32 turns. I'm not good at building motors =/

2. Any body. I don't care how ratty looking it is.

3. Innovative ideas to make a top speed xmod.

I am going to be using a stencil chassis by Acmexmods. Lithium ion will be used.

My GPM parts for my store and this supercar arrived today, so this marks the beginning. Post ideas for the body.

Also, if you sell me something you get full creditation for your work.

Main Idea:

Evo stencil chassis
Lithium pack made by me
2x2 fet stack (me) and a motor (yournamehere)
GPM parts
Maybe a new servo

Thats what I need help with guys, mainly this idea.
Paint job and maybe a custom bodykit.

I'm gunna need lots of help so keep yur eyes peeled.

Pictures up tomorrow.

Questions:
1:Anybody have a great suspension set-up for high speeds?
2:Servo ideas anyone?

LOL... What he means is either go hobby grade with your electronics. Or at the very least 2x6 stack.

Also i doubt your going to have anything on a hobby grade gen1 simply because once you get up there gen1's are just that much better.

But the ultimate xmods is always in the beholders eyes. some believe that Liths are the battery for the ultimate xmod. other believe you should stay true to the stock power plant...

Its all up to you. but chances are a gen1 with:

-hobby grade servo
-hobby grade elecs
-liths
-full Alloy
-CF shaft
-AWD
-decent motor

With that setup i can almost guarantee that car would run circles around you...

Thats just because of your base evo chassis design and board...

Oh sorry forgot to tell you, I'm going mini-z electronics with this project. Can you even stack over 2x2 on a mini-z? never tried.

that's all a matter of opinion. while i love the layout of a gen1 chassis and how much closer it is to a hobbygrade car, the evo's are more stout and handle much better, mostly because of their lower center of gravity. i don't see why you wouldn't be able to stack FETS on a miniZ? the way the miniZ board utilizes the FETS can't be any different from an Xmod, so i don't see what the problem is. also, if stacking more than a 2x2 is an issue, why not just spend the money on an external board?

Well I have some scrap gen 1 chassis laying around. Still using a mini-z board no matter what. Yea the most I've stacked on a mini-z is 2x2. Never tried 2x3.

A G35 body would look good.

You could always make it a sleeper.

2x4 stack on mini-z board, hobby servo, decent motor, and all the parts you mentioned should be a beast.
evos, gen1's doesn't matter. each to their own.
but this project sounds like it will turn out well

-- Deans Wires, Plugs
-- Full Ceramic Bearings
-- GPM/Atomic drivetrain
-- GPM Knuckles, motor heat sink
-- Lithium Polymere batteries
-- Custom CF Chassis

Now, that wold work for both the Gen1 and the Evo. The first two items are essential to 'the Ulitmate Xmod', they have always been. The above mentioned motor or an Impala from MoeBrown20 (see XMW) would be the ****. The Stacked Nelly hasn't been made in a while, and I think ph2t completely stopped making FET boards.

That's all I have to say. If you don't have the first two items, it is not ultimate.

Ultimate would be micro elecs or complete custom actually.

Essentially there is no limit to these things. Hell some could take the chassis and blow up the scale of it by fitting a 1/18 nitro engine on it. Its just a matter of how far you want to take it.

All I can say is best of luck because a lot of people have tried to make the ultimate xmod and most never finish it, the biggest issue I see is that no matter what you put into it the scale is just to small to be practical! I have a car that will break 50MPH no worries but have you tried turning a 1:28 car at 50MPH all it does is roll......

ALSO speed doesn't make it the ultimate xmod. Speed doesn't mean everything.
