Default new project!!!! f150 conversion, pics!!!!

ok well i bought this body from rs because well it was the body and kit for like 4$, couldnt resist. and ive always wanted a slammed truck. since my gen1 has the 6cell mod, and stacked fets, i cant fit the 6cell mod with the 350z body, so this is what i came up with. i just started this, and will post more pictures as i work on it. check it out!!! (couldnt decide if this should be under modification or appearance, so mods if needed move it)

ya i kinda thought i was, never seen it done before. still no where near done, its in early stages, should look sick. but i had to cut it like that so i could fit that body on a gen1 chassis. and i love mini-trucks (s10's and such) so why not make a custom f150 lol

I can make a set of clips for your truck if I know how much space you are going to have between the body and chassis. I would recommend the tonnu cover to keep it clean looking as well as make it easier to mount the chassis on.

small and cute. not bad. i would:
1) put a bed or a teanou (sp?) cover in
2) put hte back window in and make the roof flush with it
3) put slammed in the back

ive put the same body on a gen1 before. i extended the chassis instead of cutting up the body though. oh and i never put electronics in it, never had enough time. your looks like a nice project, keep it up!

well my problem now is that i cant turn much at all with the slammed rim/tires on there. body clearance is an issue but the main problem is the chassis wont allow me to have awhole lot of turning

some other guys have been able to fix that problem by putting car tires on the slammed wheels. I never really was too excited about my project so i never got it running, so i really dont know how to help ya

ok dude heres a couple problems with what your doing
1. the rims are too big to allow the vehicle to turn properly.
quick fix chop up some of the area behind the wheels to make them turn.

2.you need to have the front wheels tucked a little. otherwise known as camber this helps to let the truck be able to turn when lowered.

theres a tut for this in the tutorials section
