Default electrical problem

hey guys, i got a gen 1 civic that had the wires come off of one of the battery packs and i soldered them back into place (possibly mixed up the wires) and it didn't work. mind you this is my first soldering job, and the plastic melted a bit but the battery still makes contact on both ends. So i guess my question is, did i mess it up to the point of buying a new battery pack or is it fixable? Thanks in advance.

sry about the pics, they were taken on my phone

o, and im scott btw.....hi

the melted plastic shouldn't effect it, i melted the plastic on the battery tray on my hummer, and the batteries stayed in fine, and worked fine. (only, when i was soldering, i didnt take the batteries out. BAD IDEA.)

Don't hold the soldering iron to the metal too long, there are little solder joints inside of the metal cups holding those springs on. If the solder comes loose on one springs/metal cups, it won't work again and you'll have to buy a new battery "holdster."

I bet you can stop making useless posts that really dont help him to fix anything, and stop restating and rewording what others say in order to sound at least semi knowledgeable about the topic on hand.
