Project - 93 (yes another) Mustang Cobra hatchback 5.0

Wow. I've yet to stumble accross a 93' Mustang body in any of my local hobby shops, but people seem to be finding them everywhere.. Nice snag.

Can't wait to see how this turns out.

the hobby place i go to had 3 kits, 93 cobra, 92 GT convertible, and 89 GT hatchback

the color that is going on the car will be close to the color my 88 5.0 will have

thats a good color....im using a blue similar to that on my 350z project(sapphire metallic blue)

i almost went with that color at the hobby town near my apartment....but when i get done with the paint, i'll put pics of it on my thread(wide open 350z)

I 2 LOVE that color, will be a sweet looking car once done. But ya I bought the '92 GT Mustang convertible and will be making it 4 xmods, will 4 sure sell it once it's done. But could b a while because I have 3 projects going as of right now. Most people that I know don't like the 80's early 90's mustangs but I do probably if it weren't 4 my first car '86 mustang 4 banger though and very rusty wat u expect 4 $50 . I have a few blue paints but not as nice as the blue that you got just love that paint Can't wait 2 see when done!!

im hoping (when and if i finish it) ill be painting my 88 LX 5.0 a color close to the one i have chosen,i would have gotten the convertible but i have 4 hatchbacks of my own right now (the real ones), my most current car is a 93 4 banger that my dad traded my cousin a truck for, getting it on the road with in the next few weeks

Could you try to use better grammar, it's not just for me, it's "4" the rest of the people on the site as well.

Blue504, looks amazing. The paint is great looking, sooo smooth. That's why I love model kits, almost no prep required.

are you gonna use a front clip from another xmod or are you gonna make a custom one for it....

the paint was smooth but thick on one side, i tried to level it out with one more coat, but it didnt work, so now i have this,



pealed off all the paint with a knife (hence the bondo), then a little paint thiner to finish it off

im out of paint now, hopping to get some soon, maybe by the weekend it will be painted, if not it will be a few weeks (i have finals next week, failing 3 classes )

Dang man. That paint was on its way to perfect, if you wouldn't have messed up the third coat! My painting skills lack, so I just build motors, lol...

This one should turn out pretty sweet!

im sorry didnt see you earlier, so far all of my custom bodys have used the scion front clip with out any modification, but i only have one rear clip for all the custom stuff

i messed up on the second coat, and the paint from the first was just luck nothing was in it after i painted it, it was kinda windy that day
