I believe that locking the front diff reduces the cars ability to turn and is generally only recommended for crawlers that require the maximum amount of traction and torque.

in a car lock rear but in a crawler u need both locked for more torque
which 1 are u doin a car or truck 200th post!

locking either differential wont increase torque, toque comes from the motor, what it does is increases traction by distibuting torque evenly to each wheel even when one of the other wheels is supended in the air

yup noturday got it on the dot. when you lock the diff all you do is make sure that both tires still get traction if one of them are stuck. and since this is being done in a car i say locke the back and use a ballbearing diff in the front if a gen1's is what this mod is being put into affect, also if you are using the car to drag you can lock the front and rear diff for mpre off the line grip and get a little better start then your apponet. lol
