how can headers not fit under the hood? there are already headers there...also, ppl put 351's in rangers, so you've got a little spare room under that hood. cherrybombs don't sound bad, my 2.8v6 had a 24" cherrybomb glasspack on it and it sounded just like my buddys s10 with the same engine and a flowmaster 40 series.

Why did it need to be towed?

I know that the Ford engine will be a bi*** when you try to get it out. All ford engine above the year 1990 is hard to get out.

theres no headers under it already, its called a manifold. duh, anyways, yes, lots of off roadin, and muddin, we needed to be towed cuz it has a bad oil pump and rack. it ran but we couldnt get it home. 126k miles on it. we got it for 500 bucks.

anyways, it's not too bad of a truck...there are lots of aftermarket parts for a 4.0, expect to get raped if you replace the fender flares, the cheapest you'll find them for is probably around $450 shipped...a good cheap mod for a 4x4 is an electric fan conversion, if you do it yourself, you can get a good quality fan, temperature switch and all the wiring and mounting hardware for about $200. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...t=DSCF0875.flv I dunno, cherry bombs probably sound good on the right application.. but not on a V-6. V-6's almost never sound good with an exhaust though, unless they got a nice huge cam. That can make anything sound good. How come you don't want to mod the motor? More power = more fun. You can never have too much of either. Suicide_star, I don't know where you come from.. but heres some knowledge. This is an exhaust manifold: This is a header: HUGE difference. Headers are aftermarket, they add horsepower, have increased flow over manifolds. |

It is still the same thing, regardless of whether or not the aftermarkett ones add performance they have the same basic function. Thats like saying hubs are wheels and rims are aftermarkett. They are essentially both wheels.

Just dump a v8 in it.....if you plan on off roading with a v6 with vary little mods...your not going anywhere......
