Default It's Back.

The AE86 is back.

Saints be praised.

Perhaps most telling are the car's overall dimensions. At 163.7 inches long, 69.3 inches, a wheelbase of 101.2 inches, and 49.6 inches high, it's thankfully compact, smaller in length, width and height than the Nissan 370Z, and slightly longer in wheelbase. It's also the first car to wear Toyota's new swoopy styling with some gusto. Dare we say it, we actually like the look of it. It's... exciting, we're so confused here. The interior is obviously all show-car glam and may serve as direction, but we'll be shocked if there are many zippers on the production car's dash.
We're men enough to admit that combined with the recently unveiled 2010 Toyota 4Runner, we're about to shed a tear over what looks to be the return of the old, fun AE86 sports coupe-building Toyota.

hehe it kinda does.

Was wondering what is going on with Toyota. They have been for the longest time working on a car to compete with the GT-R. Whats up with the LF-A?

I am more eager for a new Subaru coupe to hit the streets, it's been to long.

Toyota... I'm not going to start. Over on GMInsidenews.com its a Toyota bash-fest! The production version is more curvey and lumpy than a clay ball. It looks... odd. But a current-day RWD Toyota car just doesnt register with me.

For some reason the front fascia reminds me of a "meaner" looking Mazda RX8..

Exactly, they ripped off a lot of Mazda's design language...

But, at least it's not a toaster on wheels this time.

What ever was said a few weeks ago is irrelevant. The LFA was revealed today and the official info came out today. It's an overpriced halo car.

All I'm going to say is, Toyota gave me another reason to hate them even more. This move by them only solidifies my "beef" with em, yet another step in a direction I disapprove...

And what is that? Producing something that doesn't blend in with my Kenmore dish washer and Wirlpool washing machine?

Then again. you were the guy who thought taxing people on a regular basis based on engine displacement was a good idea..

Damn these fun cars, DAMN THEM TO HELL.

What happened to the 1990's Supra's? This new age stuff is junk. Absolute garbage! It's one, UGLY! Piece of! I have ever seen! It's almost as ugly as the 2010 Ford Mustang! Yet, I would rather see them both burned away. Toyota and Ford should go die in a fire?

It's looks like a cheap built Audi. The Cab looks like it was "attempted" to look closely to the AE86. If anyone truely buys this, then they are pretty much a moron.

@ Surgeon. That Scooby, looks beaut'! I would take that beast over this PoS wanna-be AE86 anyday!

Blade.

A lot of the newer Japanese cars are starting to look too modern and their brand style isn't the best for their cars. IMO, the FT-86 looks fine (kinda like an angry fish though) and the Subbie version looks like the STI... I dunno. Hopefully they restyle it to look better...
