When I get time. Look in the archives at ripper7racing. It's in the Xmod gallerie, last page.

That's the same as in the first set of pictures. Clear Chassis Upgrade from RS.

Maybe. It depends if blownxmod is still doing paint jobs, and what body to use. If he is, I want a flamed flag on a pearl white.. But what car?

I've decided what to do with the body.. If the board still fits on the shortest setting, it will be the NSX body. If it doesn't, I'm gonna order a Yellow Skyline body and have blownxmod (or someone else if he can't) paint the Three Crowns design on the hood of it, and possibly touch up a few things.

Anyways, this is the last update for the summer, I might be on a little later, but I doubt it.

Since RedSXmodder was nice enough to dig it up, I'll post a picture to show you what I'm looking to do with the chassis. Only I want the board to be within the chassis.. I might do a custom chassis when I get back:

I can't take credit for that... I had my friend Ted over at FreeStyleXmods wire it up for me. I suck with the iron..

Just a tip on painting... don't use masking tape. Go to a hobby store and get tape specially made for spray painting. You can find it by the airbrush tools. It will work MUCH better.

Is RedSXmodder still around?

For those that are wondering, here's my inspiration on this one...*
http://www.xmodworld.com/modules.php...iwaver&start=0

Similar design, but a diffrent body, and a diffrent board. Gonna get the servo mounted later, then it's just to get the final quote and adress from XCRL and I can send of the EP... and the motor. And I emailed CXP about the Sway Bar, AM has bearings again... But I need another Micro-T board, and my CF Shaft and Bearings.. Almost done now. If I order the parts, it's in the home strecth!

To-Do List:
-- Order Stuff from AM
-- Ship EP to -XCRL-
-- Mount Servo
-- Figure out servo horn
-- Test Voltage on Batteries
-- Extend Travel on Rear Arms (need to find my tut, can't remember how)
-- Measure out distances for wires
-- Find my extra Dean's
-- Order my eXo-T from Ripper
-- Get another Micro-T Board**

* Yes, I actually used search, for once!
** Naturally I still want my Micro-T to run
*** Pictures of the final mock-up later!

Yes, I'm intrested in a whole (used, and WORKING) micro-t, or just the EP and Servo, if it's under $40, and you have a good rep!

Radio Shack sold them for a few months before they discontinued the Gen1's. I bought mine a few years back, and never used it, but I've been planning this (and saving..) for a while... It also came with the CF Upperplates like in the pictures..

Ah, so the CF top plates come with the clear chassis? Sweet! XI has 'em in stock!

I'll probably end up going for a Gen1 chassis build-up later on, anyway.

Thanks.

Really? I wish I had more money, I would buy another.. But I guess next time I do a build, I'll use a TinyRC Chassis and go for a 40mph xmod..

I would love to see that.. The chassis is nice, becuase you can use multicolored servo's and it shows off the EP...

Oh, and no problem.

Yep!

Which TinyRC chassis are you talking about?

I'm thinking of picking up the Zero-Products X-Frame Mod and Pro chassis sets and doing a hobby-grade electronic Gen1 build up

Same as you, I wasn't aware that it had a diffrent name.. Just remember it from the days when XmodSpeed did his 40mph xmod...

I might do one next year, but I'm on a tight budget.. I barely have $1900 for a car (need it by oct.), I need to finish this, start and finish the EvoT, Put the micro-t together, and fix my Revo... But I have a 'secret' project, using more Micro-t boards (I like the small size), but more than two servo's, and a piggy back ESC... It will be intresting.. Kinda get's you 'high'....

I remember a pic of Viperdout's XMOD that had the X-Frame chassis... I'll see if I can dig it up in the gallery

You're lucky... I turned 17 on the third. Senior year for me. $100 if bday money went into the bank... Only get a measly $7 allowance a day during school year and I desperately need a car...

Ha, sweed, no worries, I'm not gone....yet...

You back from sweden yet?

I see your going full throttle with this one. Would you have an idea where I can get some Micro T guts? I've been searching for a remotely hobby grade ESC system small enough to fit without mods.

What do you know as far as Iwaver Tx's compatibility with Mini-Z/Micro T/Xmods? I was just curious cause I'd really like to ditch the stock tx, its ****ty.

I've been working on some stuff, also. Right now:

Kingcrawler (ugh, this thing never ends)
TRM-P1 Pan car
adjustable shock system (gen1)

Good to see you again!

Later

Why would I tell you when I need two more sets of Micro-T guts?

I've tried all of the above. The iwaver works with Mini-Z boards and Micro-T boards. Xmods have a diffrent radio system, but I'll try tomarow and see.. Seeing as I have all of those and a traxxas radio upstares. Crystal are interchangable between Traxxas, Kyosho, Iwaver, Losi, and Xmod radios.

I have a MR-02 board laying around, it just needs a new steering pot.. Or possibly upgrade to a real servo..

Looks like I'm gonna be using the Yellow Skyline for a body... Don't like the look of the Black Skyline on it, and there's no other good yellow cars.. The NSX is too short and it won't fit the EP in (I think, Haven't checked yet), so that's out of the question, but it's always there in case I want to.. And it's nice to grab a mint Yellow Skyline Body while you can!

Hm.. Looks like this project will top $200... Probably around $250... Then it another $60 to complete the EvoT Crawler... and after that it's time for me to get 'high' on RC.. Right RED?

AtomicMod's Cart Contents: $65.92
-- Gen1 Wide Track Shielded Bearings Set -- $8.99

Mmmmmm, sweed, why are you getting the stage 2 motors? I could rewind you one 3x as good for the same price as the set...

Also, I'm curious as for how the EVOt is going.

Looks like you've got a bit of work ahead of you. Good luck, I'll be rooting for you, lol...

Later,
RedSXmodder
