Fried range on evo?
I searched and came up with results for the gen 1 only.
I just got my evo/supra chassis back up and running and i believe i have fried range. The car doesn't travel more than 12-18ft till it stutters and then stopping. I changed the battery on the controller and that helped for another foot or so.the car has no electronics board cover too. once i can find my screwdriver i will check underneath the board. this is fried range right? is there anyway to fix it on the evo's? thanks.

Thats not fried range by far! Fried range is when the truck/car only goes like 2 feet then stops. There might be some interferance where your running your car. Check that you screw in your antenna correctly, and the samething with the one on the remote.
I dont believe there is a way to fix the range on Evo's. How do you not have extra screwdrivers? |

i'll switch controllers and crystals. i lost them all or they stink like the rs ones. EDIT: It works fine now. I switched the crystals and it works fine, i guess there was an interferance of some sort. never happened before. It works.
