Default Surgeons Evo Wide Axle Stub Tut.

Hi,

If you are going to post someone else's tutorial please ask there permission first.

Thanks and enjoy the complete tutorial.

B1G.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

This tutorial will go over the process necassary to widen your suspension (via axle stubs) to fit oversized wheels or create a baja look.

Supplies needed, these are some household items everyone has that can be used to make these longer axels.

1. Glue- I personally like bondini, it dries relatively fast and strong. I also used a superglue pen, but it is not necassary.
2.Nail file- You might have another tool of the trade, but this cuts through xmod plastic like butter.
3. AXLE STUBS. You will need 4 of the longer stubs, and 4 of the shorter ones.

Step One.

Out glue around the outer ring of one of the shorter axle stubs and on the tip of the screw.

Step two.

Push the shorter stub into the longer stub. Make sure the fit is firm and consistant. If it is to much off center then you will wind up with wobbly wheels.

Step Three.

After the glue has dried from step two, fill in the gaps. Put glue on the gaps of the seal and gently push it in. You want it to form one solid piece. Let the glue dry.

Step four.

You want to use the nail file to shave off the outer ring on the axlestub. You might also give the whole thing a once over to ensure a good bearing fit. It is a good idea to have a bearing on hand to test your results and make sure that you have a snug fit, that isn't to tight.

step five.

Reinstall axlestubs. You will notice a great gain in handling even with swampers and be able to fit those perfect oversized wheels.
