Default so1 motor with 2.1 current draw

can anyone tell me why the so1 motor from atomicmods.com have such a high current draw but have only the same rpm as the atomic standard motor at 6 v, and y is the atomic standard motor faster than most high current motors at 6v.

im not an expert on motors, but i would guess that that motor is a very high torque one, because of the wind and stuff like that. it probably has way better acclereration and low-end grunt, but tops out more quickly.

True. Torque takes alot of current to produce.
