Default ESC help

I've got a spare rc18 esc but not a reciever. Could I still use it on and xmod, keeping the stock reciever?

xmods use a non-digital PCB that integrates reveiver and esc into 1, and the remote is not compatible with any electronics except an xmod board, so the answer to your question: no
