Here is how to do it if he still has the recovery disc that came with his computer.

Please remember to follow the Xmodsource Rules when dealing with computer problems. Anything illegal, or potentially illegal, will be instantly deleted within notification as well as infractions will be issued to the member(s) spreading the illegal information.

Good luck with your computer problems. I, as much as I would like to, cannot help you. I would probably make the problem worse because I'm not very savy with computer tech. problems.

The easiest way is to obtain (in whichever way pleases you best) a copy of XP, Vista, 7, whatever and format/install.

But, he's looking at the thread, why can't he post?

edit- Well, he's not anymore...

My PC just crashed... Critical Condition. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

EDIT: THANK GOD FOR IE. SCREW FIREFOX

My PC crashed... my AIM convo with Chinesekid wont show up when i pressed it in the bar below. I alt+tabbed to it. Then the AIM Convo went blank. I tried bringing up task manager wouldn't do. The task bar then froze. Then I alt tabbed again. The mouse wouldn't move. Crash. GG.

Usually if you install a new OS, it gives you the option to re-format and install.
