Default Ow!!! HOT MOTOR!

ok i was just offroading with my f150 and i have the SSMT wheels on and when i was done i smelled something burning and i thought it might be the EP but then i was holding it and put my hand on the S2 motor and i litterly burnt my hand. the smell was the rubber on the wires but is that normal for the motor to get that hot?

Seems as if your XMOD's drivetrain is binding somewhere... The motor shouldn't run that hot...

btw, edit your thread title, "Ow!!!" is too vague

it happens all the time with my stage 2, just try to run it for only 10 mins. with big tires, the motor has to work harder. trust me, most of you remember my monster tires

in my opinion you should think about a performance upgrade so you can put thosse tires to work,pn racing and atomicmods have a motor that you can run on stock fets. They are supposed to be twice as powerful as a stage 2 motor, that would be your best option i would think.I hate having short run time with my mods,10 min sucks

you kno you like the p&n i miss it for my street truck project. see if the gears are hard grinding , make sure the heat sink isn't on tight causing more fiction on the gear, wanting to make it harder on the motor.

Its normal for it to get hot. Its just a lot of strain on the motor. Just tkae breaks after every 10 mins.
