Default wire size coming from servo?

what gauge are the wires coming from the servo motor and servo board? they didnt have anything that small at RS. do specialty hobby shops carry wire that small? i cant find any around my area.

umm just try to get some 18awg. it should work better than stock.

i want the same size because im running the wire through some aluminum tubing. i have 16 g on it now and the 3 wire set coming from the servo board is to big. 18 would be way too big.

umm lol 16 is bigger than 18. lol. just maybe 22-26awg that should be the size.

All i have to say about this is that is sick as hell. show a picture of that with the body on the chassis.

OK back to business, cut up an old mouse cable or usb cable (or any other shielded computer cable) and take out the number of wires you need. Your powering a servo and not a drive motor so your not going to lose anything performance wise.

BART to the rescue again... i was thinking the same thing... cuz me and my dad recently did some phone wiring and the internal wires were very similar to the servo ones...

phone wiring is great also as long as you use the stranded and NOT solid wire. Solid wire breaks after a few bends and does not reject noise very well.

I was agreeing with you, most phone wire would work awesome. (just some of the older stuff i have is solid core)

hey bart would would it matter if you used a thicker wire similar in size to the wire coming from the batteries when the car is stock... for powering the servo because i kinda broke mine...
