xmod servo mod?
i was just wondering if you could use a xmod servo motor as the MAIN motor and if it would be good for crawling? thanks in advance.

Yes, you can. Quite a few threads on it all over:
http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9313 Just make sure you use a good servo with a good 15oz of torque... Hey, my Revo has 333oz of torque in it's servos..

But that thing barely turns the wheels left and right. I doubt it will do well. I guess it is small enough to use with extra gearing, though. You can give it a try, but there are better options. My airplane motor/gear setup had more tourque than the truck could handle...

If it's small enough to fit in the motor space, then you would have plenty of torque. But I don't see the point of having a servo that's any biger when you don't need more than 16oz of torque...
I tried the Gen1 Servo... You need to change the motor, or lengthen the wires significantly.
