Finally, a chassis for the Titan.
I finally got a chassis for my Titan, and holy crap I went through hell getting the old wheels off (ex: get the dremel and cut them bishes off) of it and getting other things sorted out. I have to re-solder some wires and replace a few more. After that, I should be able to drive it.
I do have the Titan BK, not sure if I like it though.. so I put it to stock but with the tonneau cover on it. Edit: I also replaced the whole rear clip, and the piece that allows the chassis to swivel. It had a screw to lock it in place, because if it wasn't there it would just slide all the way out. I'm not doing the articulation mod to it either, this is going to be a street truck. I have it lowered with the shock screws from the car, but I think I want to see just how low I can get this thing. but that was dropping to the floor with the body on and scraping |

What do you mean by bring in the wheel spacers?
I think I'm also going to try and get the body lower on the chassis. Not quite sure how to accomplish this, but it will take some thought. I still need to solder the wires, get the battery tray mounted and put the motor back in it. I'm interested to see how that motor does, I wonder if it's about the same as the one that's in my F-150. |

still have the springs on the suspension? take them off itll give the truck some extra stability and to tuck tired your gonna need some camber so your gonna need to chop the suspesion holder and make it shorter on both sides not alor but just a little

I'll work on that here in a little bit, thanks for the tips.
I just got everything soldered onto the board, and it doesn't work. At all, no steering, nothing.. not sure how you said it worked great when it's not working at all? |

i actually gutted out the entire front end on my titan..and a little in the rear...
this is how it was accomplished. take the bumper, fender, and hood off chop it where you have 2 holes to hold the hood up by the windshield, and cut the front 2 holes for the hood off and put it back on the hood, ill get som pics but it gave me alot of tuck b/c i lost all the screws stopping it from touching the bottom of the hood |

Try using the stock suspension plates, with the off road control arms on bottom. Should help tuck them in. If not, cutting the suspension plates, and moving them a little inward will do it.

and in the rear cut the suspension bar to give camber to the rear and take out the suspension |

Removing the top plate makes the suspension horriby sloppy. Xmods are bad enough. Their's no challenge in just taking out the springs, and it's easily possible with them still in.
Using the off road control arms naturally gives camber if you use lower top plates, since their longer then the stock control arms, and with the different top plates making them sit more parallel to the ground, camber is the result.

Different one. I just got this one a couple days ago.
Okoye: I had to resolder some of the other wires back to the board because there was some custom wiring work done and I put it back to stock. |

going low isnt hard, and there are hundreds of ways of doing it. a hummer rear clip mount will lower the rear end quite a bit. add some car tires around those slammed rims to get it even closer to the dirt. an f150 front clip can be modded to work for going low with the front end as well.
those are all ways of getting it lower without touching suspension yet. however, if you do those you will probably come across some rubbing issues. thats where the camber they were talking about comes into play, and there's lots of ways to do that as well. you will probably have to cut out the majority of the bed if you really want to get it low since the bed basicaly sits on the chassis at stock ride height, so any body drop at all will result in cuting the bed out. shouldnt be a big deal since you have the bed cover. as far as body kit. i'd keep the bed cover for shure put the front end with the billet grilles, and the roll pan that has no exhaust. leave the side skirts and hood stock. and the tailgate section doesnt really matter, they all look decent on it.

There's no reason it shouldn't work without that other stuff. That just seems weird. I don't want all of those random wires sitting on it, maybe I'll have to get a new board or something.. who knows.
