Stage 11
Picked up a Stage 11 or (180) motor.
It is kind of long and installs with some muscle, but otherwise full of torque. One site sells it for $7.00 but bare of parts. Another site puts it all together and sells it for $32. http://jpringlephoto.com/EOS1DMKII/p...teLightKit.htm http://www.performancexmods.com/cata...099/905234.htm

Stage 11
No Really, the stage 11 motor does fit the RSX
You just have to modify the plastic body on the radio... It runs REALLY FAST!!! Both in 2WD and 4WD

Yes you are correct...
My current project is using the shortest settings for the wheel base and 4WD. I burned a radio somehow, so I have to get a new car for the electrics.
I am working a few different configurations which is not like this pic now. http://jpringlephoto.com/EOS1DMKII/img/_U7T1261.jpg

You realize you can order all-new electronics from RS. Order a receiver board assembly from RS, and you'll get what's needed. What body is going on it anyway? BTW, I also have the ZERO chassis from Tiny RC, and I love it. How's yours?

Zero Chassis
(Chassis #1):
Well, I did get it running tonight. Funny thing, I have Alum rims, Lith ion, TinyRC shielded bearings, Zero Chassis/shaft. The rest is stock. I decided to put the middle carbon shaft on it since it is 4WD. Then I put it on the RSX black body with stock design. The motor is the 11-pinion Stage 2 RS (purple) motor. It pulls off the line at full speed/torque. VERY IMPRESSIVE coming from regular rechargeable batteries. OK, the electronic brake does not really stop the vehicle. It pulls so hard that the aluminum wheels do not want to stop turning. I really want to try the shorter shaft in this configuration. (Chassis #2): In 2WD, with the 180 motor in it sucks, bc there is VERY little traction. I guess in FWD it would do good, bc, driving backward is cool, after reversing the receiver turning. That body is radically trimmed Black RSX (Chassis #3): Then there is the (stage 11) or 180 motor, that I put on the Corvette model (4WD). It runs right off the line like a ROCKET!!! (for me, I am impressed and waiting for a faster motor that is on order). The 180 motor is faster than the stock 11 tooth 30,000 motor, but has almost NO electronic feedback noise. For me, the alum rims and shielded bearings made all the difference. For all three, the hard slicks seem the best. I hear sanding them will make it better.
