Default My Dad's "new" whip haha

as some of you know, my dad has an old 1964 Ford Thunderbird Coupe that is in desperate need of restoration.
as seen here:

well, today we went and picked up this bad boy. a 1965 T-Bird Convertible, thats show worthy, and has even taken 1st place at a few shows.

we are keeping the '64 and still have plans to restore it, but chances are it will become my car rather than my dad's now that he has the convertible, and if i get to restore it how i want to it will be a lot faster, louder (exhaust and radio) and all around better than his haha.

thanks, dude, i'll keep it in mind, i dont think the cancer got to the body of the 64 too much, most of what you see there is mildew and dirt, we washed it off not long ago and found out it was mostly just surface rust on the body, and very little of it at that. the exhaust is another matter tho, it's just about completely rusted off O.O easy to fix tho, headers and some nice sounding mufflers should solve that problem

I prefer the hardtop more. That car is gorgeous though, the color is amazing.

If you don't mind me asking or if you even know, how much did he get it for?

i like what you said at the end. so true, so true. when i'm like 15-17 my dad and i are going to get two old cars to restore. his idea is the refurbish what works and replace what doesn't. mine is to upgrade what works, and upgrade what doesn't. maybe it's just a little thing between generations.
