too much moneys...

so, i was going to get an offroad mini-moped thing from ****'s (if it's censored, i'm talking about the sporting goods store). well, i was going to ride it on my street and in this lot that volkswagen bought and abandoned near my house, but then it hit me that someone's gonna build something on that lot sooner or later, and it would be pointless to pay for gas just to ride an offroad vehicle on the street. well, with my birthday and christmas coming up, my parents won't let me buy anything. so after christmas, i'll probably have $250-$350 saved up. there's too much good stuff out there and not enough money, so i want you guys' input on what to buy. some of the stuff i'm considering are:
if i don't get them for bday or christmas,
lego eiffel tower
" volkswagen beetle
" taj mahal
" death star
hobby-grade slot car track
" slot cars
" rc car
" " helicopter
" " boat

any other suggestions are welcome, too.

i've got a slot car track never use it has both controllers and power pack but i would save the money and get a better car.

yeah, that's what i'm probably gonna do. only problem is that whenever i build a big set, it slowly breaks down and blends with my stray peices over time. sometimes it actually makes me cry sometimes when i think of all the hard work that goes into it.


for those of you telling me to save it for a car:
my parents are gonna match what i pay. i can get a $4000 trans am (or hopefully i'll be able to find an affordable running can-am) off craigslist for just 2k, which i'll easily make with a summer job. i'll also be in no rush to get a car, 'cause i can just drive my dad's focus around until i get it. so no worries, i can blow it all now and still have a nice car.

slot cars, boats, and the like are high on my list...i wouldnt dabble in xmods, they'll break and you'll lose money...

In there he stated he is 13, and someone said he shouldn't be worrying about college/car yet, but now your telling him to save for a car...

Personally, I would say just save it.
Not even for a car, just save it in general. Let it grow, and getting something bigger and better than legos, r/c toys, and other useless junk.

For one don't get a cheap, used car unless you are/know friends who are mechanics and labor won't cost you anything. I would've loved to get a project car, but the catch would be that it'd be my daily driver and thats absolutely outta the question.

If you don't have a mini-Z, get MA-010 readyset of your choice?

so you're telling a middle class 14 year old to save $13000+ for a new car, when i'll only be working part time over 3 months to pay for it? seriously, who hasn't had a used car at some point? also, do they still make can ams and firebirds? nope, and i'm not waiting in hopes of the mythical 2009 firebird.

and about the mini-z, i never thought of that. i might get an overland and convert it into a drifter, lol. i've wanted to do that for a long time.
