well basically it just means that i have only seen chrome wheels on a riced out car, a car that may or may not be built for performance, but has some crazy paintjob, huge spoiler, obnoxious body kit and chrome wheels, and is generally a japanese car

Lol, Rim's on a car are just like any other art in the JDM, Ricer, even Muscle car realm. Just look at it like this, when you own a car and something doesn't look right on it, and you notice it might be the wheels what do you do?, you go out and buy something that suits your style. In the end just like the clothing you wear, its something of self expression, but also much like clothing, popularity rules. Thats why more and more cars come stock from dealers with chrome wheels, cause it sells. Real car owners though pick something they'd like. Thats why none of my xmods have chromed rims, with the exception of my F-150 having the chrome edge from the slammed wheel upgrade. Finally, yes, when I can't think of a type of wheel style to have on a car, I go with chrome, untill I find something more appealing.

I'm going with EDJ on this one. I think that if its true JDM, the wheel finish should be either gunmetal, or a matte fininsh. Black or white, just not chrome. I do think rims that are shiny black with a chrome lip do look good on JDM though...

Nice paintjob otherwise.

Later,

Ok, so here's an update on this project thus far. First off I went and took care of the paint that bled under the tape from the first time I painted it, then I changed up the Tailights a bit. Next, I haven't been able to get my hands on any G35 wheels, so I painted a set of Evo Wheels white and placed them and the car on my chasis, thus the current end result is:

Hope you like the progress, once again sorry about bad pics, I really should take some time during the day to take them.

Yea I'm planning on it, first I'm going to wait it out and see what I can end up with before the deadline.

It's the stock lancer wing and it is glued on, used superglue after painting it, thenfiling down the base.
