Thats great! i like the color, and the black bumpers/ground effects really pop! I think silver trim on the windows would make it even better. Is that Testors paint? if so great job working with that crap, i cant stand it. silver/khrome whelels might look better imo, but GREAT job!

Few things I would change, make the body kit the same color as the car.. looks like you forgot to paint it.

The door handles need painted black, atleast underneath the handle for a more realistic effect, and black around the window moldings too..

You did a really good job though, the paint itself looks pretty good and the masking work wasn't that bad.

Yeah it does look like you forgot to paint it because if it was a 2 tone, it would have to meet up all along the car. The bumpers show the black at higher points than on the side skirts. Other than that, it looks ok.

Yeah im not in love with the carbon hood,I painted the original. As far as the window trim And door handle goes ,I forgot!HA! I blame Natty light and Skynard for that. BUT the body trim stays black,I promise it looks better this way.I painted some side skirts and BLAH. I will get a pic with the painted hood on in a bit.

A few pics after the hood swap and some black accent. Also blacked out the windows, it made a huge difference.

Hey man, try and get some outdoor pics if you can, It'd be great to really see the mettalic finish in your paint job. For some reason, darker hues never show up as well as they do outside than they do inside. If you want better pics, turn off the flash and move away a bit from the car, and if you have a "macro" mode, (I call it "close-up" because I use a Kodak) try that.

the paint job looks great, nice and smooth. i dont think i would have painted the wheels to match and not the bodykit though.

Regardless is the correct term

Quote:
from Mirriam-webster

Main Entry:
ir·re·gard·less Listen to the pronunciation of irregardless
Pronunciation:
\ˌir-i-ˈgärd-ləs\
Function:
adverb
Etymology:
probably blend of irrespective and regardless
Date:
circa 1912

nonstandard : regardless
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

I bought the starter kit off Ebay, but when i got it the body was BLACK. Look at the second pic from top, see anything else that's the same exact color? Im not the kind of person that would claim someone else's work as my own! You may have seen the yellow one on Ebay because i bought it recently.

The Hummer belongs to my nine year son. He wanted to paint it after he saw how the Civic turned out. But i want him to learn how to drive it better first.

Im going to work on the body trim parts for the Civic tonight, might have pictures up later.

OK i will have to admit, it does look better this way. When i looked at it with just the side skirts it looked like crap but now i like it.I never would have changed it if so many of you wouldnt have said i needed to.Thanks.

I have some aluminum wheels coming this week so they will be going on to.
Well what do you think now?
