my 350z is a great drifter and it only has the white stage 2 motor
i wouldn't use AWD cuz it gives better traction and that isn't wanted to drift also the hard slick tires would be the best tires
(any upgrade that won't and better grip)

and garage floors work the best

Default to drift you must....

put slick rubber tires on your rear ONLY becuz mor traction on your front tires and better acceleration due to the traction of slick tires. but the soft tires (front) will make the front half stay put. and if you turn the contoller it will slide!!!

Default drifting

get the drift kit from rs. have a softer spring in the front than what ever you have in the back. install the stafe 2 red or white motor you can install yellow or blue if you hav lithium or 7 baterries like me. the new drift kit from rs works so well you can drift in the street or in a parking lot if it's flat enough.

Everything depends on the surface. And, as a rule, you want more body roll in the rear than the front, so softer springs are a better idea.

Default TURTLE WAX!!!

put turtle wax on your drifting surface, come from non-wax area to a waxarea. when you reach the wax area, turn hard keep untill your rear end slides, then switch and turn hard!

treaded ones work if there is wax, use hard treads, gives you a little more grip, for a more controlled slide, use hard in front; medium or soft in rear, batteries in front; Red or White Stage 2!

I would say the easiest would be the drift kit from RS, although 10 bones is insane!!!!! I have hard slicks, awd, medium springs all around and my garage floor is where it happens. Drift heaven........

Ok. Today I tried the old electrical tape on a spare tire/rim set and I was very pleased with the results. The car was fairly stable and would 4 wheel drift very easily. If you don't want to shell out 10 bones for a drift kit. I recommend it .

They're primarily used for racing on carpet. There are better foams out there for the xmod than the RS ones. Plus, the "X" rims are ugly.

Default annoyed

this is so annoying, all i keep seeing is people saying how to loose rear traction, thats not it at all, i am always changeing my drift setup to see wat works best, yes u wanna have less traction in the rear but u still want a good amount, u want it to b so that wen ur driving u do not slip everywhere but wen u turn and the back starts to slip a lil use ur trigger to control the drift more than steering, trust me try to get some traction in the rear this is ther key to drifting, like move the battery packs if u have em to the rear instead of the front, and personally i do not use the awd cuz the rwd is more challenging, funner, and more realistic, and i also do not use the drift kit cuz u lose to much traction, i no u say use the awd with the drift kit b cuz u cant control the drift kit without awd, well if thats the case dont get either, cuz if u dont spin out(drift kit) then u woulndt need more traction(awd). With my setup i actually can drift with soft slicks in the rear, although i use hards most of the time. Just remember TRACTION TRACTION TRACTION is the key to a certain extent. of course u need more in front but u still need it in the rear, people forget this when trying to drift in realcars to, i no i did wen i first started. HAPPY DRIFTING
