News:

-I got the diferential very loose, and the car is starting to speeding every where, except staright!

-This diferential from GPM as a screw to lock the diferential, and the plastic gear gives lub, so is perfect!

-Diferential fited, and done just put the GPM cover and start to play

With a locked diferential the chili gets to the other side of the garage in 2seconds... Christ... big fast machine, believe me.... the front diferential is no locked and very loose to make some corners.. if locked too, the dont turn very well! Just front drag...

Looks like your gears could use some lubrication.

In the back.

After months of use...

"Today i got a problem...

The atomic Chili engine, spins but the car bearly moves... when not on the ground spins a lot better, but not like when it was good...

got see the brushess!
dismantle them and check...

is my engine dying? it can be the brushess, but i have to take time to see it"

got that solved a few months ago... next post will show that...

well got it solved...
it was not the brushs!

-This picture they are halfway... ok, more 2 months to play

-This was the real problem.... the pinion is loose. Thank god it's that! I Get rid of the ten tooth, and puted a 11 tooth pinion. Works like new.
(the hole on the pinion is now biger then the engine arm, so it spins but the car wont move....)
i guess that puting the new tires, helped the pinion "habitueted" to bold ones, getting loose!!

-Bearings out, they need cleaning!!

-The multisourcefull WD40.

-Front bearings beeing cleaned!

-Front material cleaned!

-All front bearings ready do install!

Later i will post more photos , and the oil i use now for bearings....it's better than new... i really can hear the balls inside the bearings inside rooling!
They roll like ceramic... not exactly but close!!
Very VERY gOOd oil for bearings... it's another thing...believe me!

And it's not because of the cleaning process, because i used it cleaned with wd40, for two days, and puted on the third the bearing oil, and the diference is night and day!

Now this is a thread from someone REALLY enjoying their X-Truck.. I love checking in on it and seeing what's new with your truck. I always wanted to do an all GPM X-Truck, but never wanted to put the $ in on it. Looks like your having lots of fun and keeping it maintained.. Do you have a FET stack on your board using that Chilli..?

Thanks man! I "love" this small scale! And think X-mods have a great and very big potencial... even better than Mini-z's.... what mini'z have absolutly great is there's BOARD, specially the awd 2,4ghz. Wich in a next project.. If you put that board on a xmod evo.... the steering is ultra balistic fast...and RELIABLE even with stock xmod servo motor and POT!
who knows... someone knows i personally got that on a next project that i could share you you guys... you you want? that i share that to?

The tuning parts for the bodys on xmods are a must to.. that miniz don't!

But remenber, out of the box x-mods are inferior, like VERY cheap RC hobby cars.. or like evoluted toys... but the aftermarket spares pieces are a true mans dream!
And a tuned Z-mod (z-mod is a x-mod with a miniz board) kicks the pants out of a miniz stock! How yah... i am not talking without knowing! believe me!
But the market is switeched for Miniz's... because out of the box is better... and so on... but with work and pacience GREAT things can be achived on xmods!

As for the fet's... of course... and you do not saw that? it's on the first page? it's there... the fets, the soldering, all the process, man!

Well...... I have to COMPLETELY disagree.. But I still love my Xmods, and you seem to enjoy yours. There is no comparison to a Mini-Z, Z's are far superior in all aspects stock or modded. I would love to see your other project(s)

As someone who has had experience racing mini-Z and Zmods, I have to completely agree.
An Xmod's main limitation is weight, you have to dump some money into your Xmod and run a mod motor to even keep up with a stock mini-Z.

I like playing with both Xmods and mini-Z but when it comes to racing I prefer mini-Z.

That is definitely the nicest X-truck I've seen yet and a 2.4ghz board will definitely improve performance.

Keep up the great work, and keep us posted.

and since i had cleaned the wheels bearings.. i do the inside front diferencial....

-the oil for the bearings! they really need this oil forever

-i am studing the servo... because i am gona make antoher project with a miniz board... and need to know what i am going into!

-for a miniz board, we really need to use the pot of the xmod... we canot use the miniz pot... because of the HOLE
-something like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMGlGcOE_tI

-And finally i hope i found the secret to loose pinions.... a hex screw on a screw pinion should resolve the losen pinions

miniz's are far superior on stock! YES!
And a modded xmod with a pcb miniz is very good!
But aftermarket pieces are far more superior for miniz's....

I said a x-mod needs money, to be a great piece! Otherwise they are just evolute toys!

Ok... i will put my other project someday in this forum!

-the mother****er remote jitering the steering makes the car when full thortle on the chili with 7.2v this kinds of prangs...

-Inside View!

-Gotta leave the fender!

-And use some glue like this....

-Now just wait 2 days and then play.... i am serious about swaping this xmod board with a miniz!!
