Is it possible to change the color of the ground effects lights? if so, how?

What I want to do is MODIFY what i have. The evo ground effects lights. Is there any way to MODIFY that?
I don't mean to be mean but it clearly says that i want to modify what i have. That is VERY frustrating!!!

you would have to take your gl kit apart and unsolder the green leds from the resistor board and replace them with the same size leds of a different color.

the reason people are telling you to make your own is because it will most likely be much less of a hassle. plus if your not skilled with a soldering gun you will toast the micro resistors making your gl useless.

ive never taken one apart before but after looking at it heres how you would do it.

:
remove the aluminum tape.

keep your iron with a wedge tip on the bottom side(the side that would be facing the ground if installed) and unsolder the "r2" side first.
when the solder is just starting to melt you would lift VERY gently on the board until you no longer see the led posts.

repeat this step for "r1"now your board should be free and you should be able to access the leds to remove them from the gl housing.

you should be able to reheat the solder on the board and reuse it when you reinstall your new leds. just reverse the above steps.

like i stated before though BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE HEAT YOU PUT TO THE LEDS.
when you look at the back of the board you will see a VERY small blue micro resistor on the pos side of "r1" and "r2".
these can fry very easily and i cant be held accountable.

if you do try it and get it to work please keep us posted.
i do believe it would be a first for the xmod forums.

last time i was at rs, i was looking for some 1.5mils and the smallest they had was 2mm.

im not even sure what size are in the gl's but they look like 1mm.
i would call ahead to see if they have some in stock so you dont waste the gas.

they did however have some 2mm colorswitch leds that look like they might be good for one of my future projects though
