haha - sad to see that people still can't accept change even when it's happening in front of their eyes.

This is historical and it's certainly nothing to be sad about - like it or not, Obama is our next president

Shame on me for what? Expressing my opinion? I didn't mention anything about this historical aspect of this race; its a sad day in history when the american people are too stupid and uneducated to realize who they REALLY elected. Why don't you stop nut riding and following along like a sheep and learn to think for yourself.

You're right. I don't want to accept this change. This is socialism. Obama is a socialist. I'll be the first to say it: I don't like Obama and I don't like the "change" he is bringing.

I'll keep my freedom, my guns, my morals, and my money. YOU can keep the change.

LOL - no problem with expressing your right of freedom of speech - it's all good since you'll have to live with it for the next 4 yrs until the other election .

I agree with Civic_Guy. This is a very sad day. We just elected a racist, whos strongest and possibly only skill seems to be talking. I wish people would look past his sweet talking and see what he really is... "I'm voting for Obama because he is black!" Seriously? Thats the dumbest thing ever. "I'm voting for Obama because McCain is old." Second dumbest thing ever. "Obama said this, I like this" Saying you will do something is much, much, much different than having the power to do what you said you would do. I think Obama is going to run this country into the ground. End the war? What war? We arn't even in a war!!! Its an occupation. War and occupation are very different, and ending this occupation is going to make our image in the Middle East even worse. Oh, and forget about cheap gas, Obama is gonna screw that up too, we will be back to $3-4 per gallon, maybe more.

I just realized... why am I ranting here, most of you are either too young to even understand whats going on, or you understand, but are too young to do anything about it...

*Edit*

No point in calling anyone out - it's understandable how you feel so let keep it civil

LOL - I must agree with you on that only - there's no other point in ranting either since the people of our great country have spoken.

I voted for the first time today. I guess I am the minority here since I voted (actually wrote in) Ralph Nader and didn't go with a "mainstream candidate" instead. I don't see McCain nor Obama as decent candidates since one is too smooth of a talker/seems too fake and I feel the other (maybe both) have hidden agendas. I also feel that this election seems to have been mostly ran on race (both McCain and Obama) and gender, which is purely childish and definitely not what America needs at this point in time (we have more important issues to deal with). Therefore I decided to vote for Nader due to these issues and since I have been a fan of him for a while now.

EDIT: Thankfully there will be no more political adds to deal with for a while. No matter who the candidate was that you voted for, everyone should pat themselves on the back for those of you that exercised their right to vote and made this a historical election.

I hope Obama lives up to all his hype. I'm a little afraid he may have been elected for not the right reasons. As far as the economy goes I'm afraid that neither candidate could have done any thing, fixing the economy starts with the people.

I am in no way surprised by the turnout of this 2008 Presidential Election.

I cannot agree more. There is no way one single person is going to create a mass "change" in a country of over 300 million people. It takes those 300 million to become educated about what is actually going on in their lifes (whether it's money, laws or whatever) before any sort of "change" is going to take place.

The major problem I have with this election is the fillibuster effect. The Democratic party will now be controlling a major part of the United States Government practically making it possible for anything they want to get passed as a law passed and there's very little other political parties can do about that.
