Default Li-Ion bats R they worth it?

I'm kinda confused about this Li-Ion deal. so pretty much, 2 Ion batteries is equivelant to the power that six NiMh will supply? Then if thats true, why will it make a difference if you have the 2 Ions or six Nimh?

ok ima break it down for ya 4 AAA stock batters 1.2v each = 4.8v
now 2 3.6v liions =7.2 7.2-4.8= 2.4v xtra plus the weight of 2lithiums is a lot less than the weight of 4 or more nimh or nicads not only will you benefit from having a huge weight reduction and a xtra boost of power but they also last a lot longer. I am sure you have noticed the slight hesitation in your xmod in accelerating to top speed. I put the lithiums from xmodsource in my car and the thing took off like a rocket. Plus I drove it for like 45 minutes straight as apposed to the 10 or 15 minutes that you get out of regular batteries the only downside is they are xpensive and you have to buy the charger for them too. but there worth it

Is the sky blue? More voltage=lessweight=MUCH better power/weight ratio.

Haven't gotten to run it yet, since I have to get the yellow mount (doesn't fit the metal one).

Can you cut off the tab on your chassis, then peel the cover off some double sided tape and stick it on? If so, you can mount li-ions. Unfortuately, it seems that the Z is too narrow.

You could glue on the side skirts and dremel off the screw posts, and that might give you enough room.

Has anyone actually attempted hooking up the li-ions to the 350z? I really like the body style a lot and it sucks that I may not be able to hook up the li-ion batteries... I'll try to make it work somehow. I just can't pass up that wild body kit style.

i have a 350 with lithiuims on it.
you do have to cut one of the rocker panel tabs and i also had to take a heat gun and very carefully widen the body to accomodate the batteries.
but then i also could care less what my xmods look like really. i just race them.

i also have the camaro. on that one the lithium batteries fit right in.

and you can either tie strap on the chasis or double sided tape. double sided tape seems to work best for me

Default Liths

So, After (12) XMODS, (3) Carbon Fiber chassis, (4) stage 11 motors, I am left to research the Lith idea...
I found a lot of info which much of it is mentioned above.
The best place to purchase them is pretty much already available to us.
Since it is specifically for XMOD builders.

The next best place.

Any others seem to require $100,000 investment.
