I didnt really like it. Its a well styled car, but man it felt kinda cheap on the inside. And the back seat was... cramped.
Slow motivated too. But a good DD car

The I4... We had a ricer with the I4 Camry try and tail gate our 98 GMC Jimmy. IT went to pass in the opposite lane, and just because he was dickin around, we went pedal to the metal. The camry dropped back fast after 60mph, and gave up at 70, lol. Its allright for a DD as I said, but its no speedy car.

Their not pricey, get an 05 used. Its not too far out of the range hes looking for if you get it used
But good lord, just swap in the stock CTS grilles if you wnat, and take off the minimal badging, and you have a killer sleeper atleast until you open her up (:<

A XLR for that price? Hell I'd buy it and sell it to someone else for 40k. The blue book on a 04' is around $47,000

I'd say just stick with that silver TL you were looking at. It looks nice, its powerful, though its automatic, but its got VTEC! lol
Its rear-end also looks pretty agressive, though the TL body-style that came before that one had a much more 'executive' look. |

On another note insurance maybe expensive on both, the GTO is a rear wheel drive, V8. But hondas are also the number on stole car in the country, so insurance can sometimes be expensive. But take my word for Hondas reliability is very, very over rated. Both are going to need to be fixed at one point, surprisingly you may find it more expensive to repair the honda then the GTO. Then there is the performance thingy... 1 whole shots all day in a GTO, Honda every third friday that it rains. 2 fuel economy will be better in the honda but if your easy on the gas you will get about 24mpg in the GTO. 3 my last point is the GTO's handling and performance is comparably to a corvette! But the vette has no rear wheel hop, but thats fixable with stiffer sub frame mounts, stiffer shocks and a updated rear end cover. If your not doing whole shots, or driving like a raped ape you will never feel the wheel hop any way. |

second...a GTO would never beat a corvette in anything except maybe being cheaper... third the GTO is ugly... fourth gas mileage is important i was just putting options out there...

It has the LS1, with 400hp it can compete with a Vett, a stock one not the ZO6. Still can blow away any import. I like the GTO, better looking then any Toyota for sure. Gas is only important if your looking for a family car. Not if you want performance.
