Unhappy Servo keeps running after bad crash...

Ok, I did the 6 Cell conversion and was testing the car without the body on it - it was hella fast and somehow I ended up bumping into the corner of a wall head on at probably 75% throttle - right when that happened, the servo kept running and the wheels do not turn anymore. I am about to tear it down - wonder what went wong? Maybe a wire got loose...

Probably a gear was jammed or chipped from the crash. Check over the servo gears.

yep, lol hit the nail on the head. sounds like you have a gear that broke some teeth off, or a few gears, and basically its try to center but wont because the motors not making it move back to center.

Well, I took the servo apart and little pieces of plastic came out - yep the one big gear was toast - that figures why it kept spinning - it was trying to "calibrate" the wheels but the gear was not turning the servo pot so it did not know what to do - just like what zippo said above - ha learn't something new already lol

Now do they sell re-inforced gears or a better quality servo for this?

LOL - yeah I learned my lesson from being carefree and careless - thinking my plastic wonder was soooo strong....NOT! Well I guess I can't really blame the car - it was going pretty fast when it hit the edge of the wall so its my fault sadly...

keep your bodies on, like you keep your clothes on. Don't want the good stuff showing and getting hurt. :P
