the magnets are facing each other with the same polarity, so they repel each other. Cool idea, where did you find that?

They work on the same principle of springs.- The closer the magnets are together, the stronger the repulsion between the magnets.

some guy in britain sells them on ebay
the more magnets you add the stiffer thet get
theres really no point but i guess its interesting to talk about
*Hey man wut color springs you got*
"None, I got MAGNETS"
*Wow cool*

it just makes me wonder if it messes up the motor

The magnetic force between the magnets is inversely proportional to the distance between the magnets. I just felt like syaing that. Physics wasn't all a waste.

they dont work well, just like all strong repeling magnets: they slip, simple and nothing can stop that cause the top part are just screws and they'll let the magnet slip.

my boss owns a Ferrari 512 scalagetti, im a computer scientist who does Some Car modifing work on the side for people, he baught it to me for a quick tune up, the Ferrari 360+(and onwards) and a few before have a magnetic shock system that i designed and set up on his Aston Martin DB7 about two or three years before the Ferrari shock system, he does exotics races at silverstone with ferrari, aston martin etc all around him with the ferrari pit next to him he thinks they stole my/our idea so this idea has been done before, the engineer who "designed" these just stole our/my/ferraris idea,
the closest thing to supercar is my Real life Nissan Skyline GT-r r34 with HKS performance parts

Its an old thread, but this is where it all started. Its a shame no ones credits where they got the design from these days...

i'm kinda dumb about these... but if ther's nothing to hold them together (keep them from moving around, just going up and down) wouldn't they spin around and try to stick to each other?
