the new volk te57s are. bright colored (pink, green and so on) are a jdm trend. yes there are jdm wheels (wanatabes, speed star, and like you said mugen) that arent bright colored and are still very jdm but since i havent seen any styled like that for xmods the next best thing is to go with the bright colors to give it a jdm look. i got the idea from the cover car on super street mag

Actually there is a "JDM styled wheel" out there for XMODS. The top set of wheels shown here as part of a wheel upgrade package for XMODS: http://www.xmods.uk.com/images/xmt008_21-250.jpg, are knock-offs (made by Tenzo) of my Mugen wheels. Tenzo makes another wheel that is a knock-off of another set of Mugen wheels as well. Although they do not make a version of those for XMODS.

i want to go ahead and thank everyone for all the great feedback on this and project 8 (even though she's on a lil bit of a hold right now). but thanks guys the support is great. i really appreciate it! these are my first two projects and im glad to see that im going in the right direction with each.

I am really liking the look of this car so far. The paint scheme is great.

Can't wait to see just how fast she gets.

not quite as JDM as the evo-8's wheelset:

these are the real ones btw which are, of course, more detailed than the xmod wheels, but it's still Advan RG II's

very NICE...look alot like the lancer wheels to me...

nice job on your project...i like the paint scheme and your rear spoiler works well with the car...personally i liked when the wheels were color matched...but i am not a fan of the neon colors...thats just me...best of luck with the rest of this...

@yodaman, that's Exactly what he's saying that the evo VIII rims are the same as the advans he picured.

@_rx7; they are evo rims... Look at the XMS banner.

thx man. what kinda of ideas for spoilers were you lookin for? what kind of body are you wanting to add it to. there are a lot of different styles out there. i like to keep it clean functional and simple that flows with the body. it you are wondering how i did my spoiler (whale tail) it was actually pretty simple. i used the plastic that comes with the kit that holds everything (the clear pieces inside the box) cut it to the shape that i'm to get and to make the curves. i then used a drop of super glue to hold it centered and using a lighter (about 2-3 inches over the flame) heated up the plastic just enough to make it bend (too close will make it ignite or bubble. you just want to heat it up). then quickly shape it to your liking (i used the curved side of the lighter to do it). hold it in place until its cooled off and it will stay like that. do one section at a time (sides, front and rear) so you dont over heat the plastic). once thats done pop it of sand and wipe clean the area to be glued and super glue the spoiler in place. hope this helps some

the gpm wheels you have orderd are a good choice the bit of weight they have realy helps keeping the car planted on a track , my only other choice would be scion B/K rims as they give a wider rear track

as for a motor id say a tamiya mini torque tunned in a bb can iso mags and silver or carbon brushes 18swg multi strand silicone wire

car looks great man very nice job

thx for the feedback. im still at a toss up with the motor right now. going to do more research. i like the stock-r from atomic. it sounds bad- a** on paper and i have heard good things about it. i wish i could see it run. i have been searching youtube to see if anyone had it on there but either im blind or no luck.
