Default Roof Scoop!

My skyline project is going slowly, and paint is tough to do now as i live in residence with three other guys and i dont want to stink them out, and its cold outside and dont wanna open the windows, so paint is gonna have to wait for while. I have gotten some body work done and would love some comments on what Ive done. I thought I would try a roof scoop this time, because ive seen aweful ones done before and i wanted to try to give roof scoops a good name. anyways tell me what you think.

body work looks good. Scoop would look better if it was in the middle imo. I do like the shap and how it's not overly huge. Awesome job!!!

thanks and im thinking metallic red (silver base and then some candy red over top)... i was gonna do brown but then i built a brown skyline in NFS Carbon and brown looked really... pooey (no pun intended). I put the scoop on that side because a roof scoops purpose is basically to keep the interior of the car cool, since race cars dont generally have a heating system, and since the skyline is a japanese car, the driver sits on the right, so it made sense to throw the scoop on that side. thanks for props

Default Skyline Update

So i managed to fork out some coin and got some paint... and so far it looks it alright, it didnt quite turn out the way i wanted but it looks pretty good anyways.

I also finished reinstalling my stacked FET's and installed a 6-cell upgrade, now I'm just waiting for the local hobby store to get some new motors in and then we'll see how she rips!

PS. Pics are coming, the batteries for the camera are charging

All right so i got a couple links to some pics here for ya. Please remember the paint is not finished, it is dry, but it needs to cure before i go ahead and do detail work and then clearcoat.

And here is a pic of the 6 cell, the wheels on it are from my camero (in background), but they will be gold on the skyline. I also have modified and painted upper frame pieces (not shown).

Let me know what you think!

O and I use testors spray paint.

yeah, props! I wish my paintjob went that well (if anyone here knows what i'm talking about, LOL!). And why are you ashamed that the paint isn't as good as you thought it would be? IT LOOKS FREAKIN AWESOME! Very, very nice job.

P.S.: PM me what kind of airbrush (cost, brand, that kinda stuff) you use please!

Allright, so i'm in the process of doing detail work (marker lights, third brake light, etc) but it should be good to go for clearcoat tomorrow. For those who are wondering, I *GASP* use testors spray cans. But i do have a secret, and its really not that crazy but it does look good. First off a good solid basecoat of silver, then a couple coats of transparent candy apple red, more if you want the color darker.
