Thanks man, haha, the "dirt" is actually that kiddie moon sand stuff, white and orange mixed. Really cool stuff but gets stuck to the tires after a while

bumpers, dash, and grille done

bed cover started

bed cover finished

just need a little black paint in a few spots

WOW now thats 2 colors that are hard to make work...but i think you did a great job....definitely fits the color scheme of that era of truck

or is it tri color? looks like a 3rd shade of brown on the tailgate trim?

i liked the beadlocks without the screws...thats just me...maybe brown beadlocks with a black center/rim?

nice work on the cutting and mounting of the body as well...cut in half it still uses +/- 3 full clips???...that must have been one long model...maybe an original model chassis pic for comparison?...for curiosity...

looking forward to your next set of updates...and you got a sandbox in you room ...^^^...???

edit: 80's tonneau cover style is a nice touch too...good to see you doing a project again

ill take the screws out tomorrow, might remake them and make the screws smaller. do you mean a darker brown? the rims are the black saleen wheels repainted flat black

it was a big a$$ truck to start with, the kit box is about a normal box and a half. the chassis is 2 F150 and 2 hummer center parts and still needs to be a tad longer

Not a fan of brown on vehicles but I have to say I like the look on this. I think the beadlocks looks better now that they are painted brown. Screws don't stand out as much.

Thanks man, glad you like it. The screws do need to be smaller though

You have a mac? looks good i can appreciate all the details-mainly the precisely applied decals, imo the grill would look better in chrome but browns ok too, where r ur wheels rubbing?

yes i have a mac, 2 minis. one is like 5 ears old other is like 1 month old

i tryed to make it look as real as possible. out door shots will be great for this one

i wanted to keep it chrome but i messed up one side cause it was too close to some heat source so the chrome bubbled up. so sanding and painting was the only option

hits where the front bumper mounts, the chassis needs to be slid back just a tiny bit, but since its painted im not goin to take the chance and fit it

got back to work on this a little bit more

started working on a front bumper. the stock one just wasnt cutting it

this is more of a prototype part right now, just to see if my way of making it would work. seems to

no nothing is cut straight i know it really dont care that its all crooked and uneven, it was simply to figure out if i can build it

Great Idea for the front, may take a few trys to get it perfect. Or if your not wanting it too look perfect its fine that way, kinda gives it a rugged look.

thanks man, im going to putty it all up and smooth it out just to see how it looks then, if its ok, the top and side plates will be switched with longer ones so it clears the wheels

UPDATE TIME!!

i had stopped for a little while was kinda ****ed off about the front bumper issue, but ill cross that bridge when i get to it

exhaust and side steps added

steps are from the hummer sides. the location for the exhaust is a factory location and its easier on this truck to put it there

little work on the bumper

in the pic showing up close of the pipe it has black on the body. its not a mess up the truck is going diesel. the kit has the 7.0L gas burner but seeing how this is a mans truck its only right that is gets a real motor, so im custom scratch building the legendary 7.3L powerstroke V8 for it, turbo and all
pic time

its no where close to finished but its a start. because the 7.3 wasnt out for this body style the intake, turbo piping, and almost everything will be custom

if anyone has access to a 99-03 F250-F550 or excursion with the 7.3 in it please post up a few pics of the motor and how the turbo is set up or just random motor shots would help out a lot
