Cool Double Car Project

Ok guys this thread is called Tripple car project on XMF but I changed the name for this since the third body may be going soon through XMF sorry if you see pictures on the third car, it has just been copied and pasted. Hopefully theres no extra bitz.

Thanks Shallows

Ok this project is all about some car bodies that I got for $12 NZD there were three bodies inside this package they were all originally just plain pull back cars but I decided to take them apart and see what these bodies offered. I allready know that I need to get some chassi spacers to make these fit my chassi but ill be doing that next week when I do my next order from XI. I need some help finding what these bodies actualy are I know one is a Peugeot 206 from a WRC 03 game I had on my ps2. These bodies were pretty stickered up but I have delt with that apart from one of them.

On the Peugeot I plan on making it into a rally car and this is a good car because the black window inside thing just clipped out, the lights got pushed out like xmod lights and already have holes for light system. I have an interior that im going to make fit into this Peugeot too.

The truck I am going to slam onto the chassi and it originally had no becover but a bed. I had to cut out the bed so i could fit the chassi in and make room for the motor. I am going to make a bedcover for this out of styrene.

Last of all is this car thing is too wide but I plan on using it as a airbrush test for a new style of airbrushing im going to try. The reason im not fitting it to the chassi is because it is too wide.

Here are the picks of the cars:
Peugeot 206

This truck: (please help me decide what it is)

And last of all the car thing: (help me decide what it is also)

Thanks for reading this comments are welcome but to add so I dont get any of them. This chassi is not going to be changed apart from spacers and some RS upgrades. All body customisation and modification ideas are welcome. I also have yet to decide on paint for the 2 cars and truck. Oh and excuse me for my dodgy pic resizin I did it myself since photo bucket was acting up with resizing.

Thanks Shallows

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok the Truck is a Lincoln Black and well it has to be black now lol ::: I have verified this by looking at the back and front of the truck. Oh and heres what Iplan to be doing.

Lol bit more hinges or I will just follow gearguys paper clip/ styrene tut. Oh and noturday or whoever said it I can make the black stained wood with balsa wood just stain the balsa wood. I have seen a tut not on any xmod site on how to do it and make it real nice.

Ok still no luck with the car yet I verified all the cars you mentioned but the back was different on all of them. Front was correct though. Heres a picture of the back.

Last of all now heres the projects updates:
The truck with the gaping hole puttied and a bed cover made out of i think 1millimetre styrene. Do you think I should go smaller:confused2: . Oh and the putty and bedcover need a bit more sanding.

And the Peugeot I covered up two of the holes and I plan on making a nice roof scoop. And since the hole is already there well hooray for air I guess. the grillish area still needs sanding since I had to stop and glue a bit back on last night. Here are the pictures:

Well theres the update thanks guys for the comments.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Well Im trying to make an update everyday bummer double post. Here it is I have worked on a scoop for the car, took me a while I didnt like it at first but it has grown on me, it will look real good once I have painted it. Heres the Pictures of the scoop, I will be getting some alluminium mesh either of XI or from my LHS depending on which will take longer and depending on the size I can get it in. But I think ill probably end up getting it from XI. I have also found me some very grippy tires of a model. I have tested them on a smooth concreat floor and the give my car a lot more torque and grip on this surface. In the picture I have of them the rims are not the ones I will be using for the Peugeot there just rims to show you the thickness etc. They make an original 1:28th Xmod Car slammed and theres no interfarence with the wheel walls or whatever there called with the peugeot It makes it look like a normal xmods wheel since the wheel walls are large, saves me buying "bigger" rims. Well heres the pictures. Oh and I also cleaned up the grill area. Used some superglue to help reinforce it the superglue container said it would bind my eyelids  . I will probably reinforce it more with some styrene.

Made it so the scoop looks like its actually part of the body with some Tamiya Putty. It has been sanded a lot more after this picture was taken.

The Tires with great tread, hopefully you can see it:

And the cleaned up grill area:

Thanks Shallows

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok minnor update:
Lowered Scoop ( I used my extreme craft knife skills to come out with this:

And then cut and paste and reglue and extra putty:

Its better still steep but I like it.
I Have FINE weather today it dosen't look like its gonna rain the sky is blue so im doing a lot of painting today. Will edit this post once I have painted them.

The Lincoln Blackwood has done nothing recently I am thinking of not even hinging it and just glueing it down but I am thinking of cutting out the front grill before I paint, Im going into my LHS today and I will pick up my alluminium mesh for the grills.

Thanks Shallows

EDIT:
Well turns out never got around to painting today because I thought about more stuff to do to the body of the cars
Well I cut out the grill on the truck im going to have straitght lines for the mesh (might be home made and the area is a lot cleaner now too)

I also found these incy wincy gaps where holes should be on the Peugeot so I cut them out (still got some sanding to go)

Oh and I also sealed the Lincoln Blackwoods Coffin Lid (In this pic it has not had as far sanding and cutting wise as it is now)

And to add to the Licoln Blackwood still to come is a surfboard with a roof rack and a cool blue set of flames along the coffin and sides/hood.

Thanks Shallows

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Well heres another double post for Shalows (sarcasticness), I looked at the weather report and murphys law theres a @%#$*&^ storm heading my way so painting stopped for now. I have a minor update *I could get this done with the fine weather left before it got dark* Its the surfboard :halo: that will be going ontop of the Licolnblack. I have changed my mind for the trucks flame colour it is now going to be yellow the reason is that Im weird in the way I like everything to contrast or look good when matching things together *dont gimmie stick about it or im going to kill you:halo: * hope you like it enjoy.

Made with balsa wood my friends I couldnt resist giving it a go I think it turned out well. I also curved it with water *magic ::: *

Try number 1 ended in faliure as you can see I am almighty strong

Number 2 turned out well heres the pics I also gave it a fin:

But wait theres more!!

Are your sure you wanna look.. its not that great but here you go:

And uhhh ignore that little black spot just off ill fix it before I seal and clearcoat it *clearcoating to see if it gives it a nice finish and shine *

Thanks for looking
Shallows

------------------------------------------------------------------

Not really bringing up an old thread but anyway heres the updates from the last couple of days:

YUS WEATHER HAS BEEN GOOD AND IT BETTER STAY THIS WAY!!!
Got the Peugeot painted and it looks sweeet and I have meshed the grill. I have decided not to paint the hood as it turned out wonderfull. I cannot put the black windows back in as a plastic bit snapped so I am going to have to make an interior. My interior will be custom made *Everything apart from the seats* since the one I had my dog got it. The Licoln Blackwood went horribly wrong and the thinner attacked the original paint *for the first time in my airbushing* now the truck is like white with diffrent colours all over. It looks like a nervous wreck but I will have to sand it down and repaint. I ran out of black, flat black and all the blacks I have so I have decided to not paint it black. I am going to do a kandy *orange* on this one since I have much time to prepare and get the paint *Just a question whats the best undercoat *silver or gold* to do kandy orange?*. I will get pictures up in like 10mins this post will be updated.

mmm cookies
Shallows

EDIT:

Ah yes I also did the rims and I have ordered me some red alluminium luggies as I didn't have a pair.
And the tires on them are not the good ones im using so they may look small.
Here is the pictures lol, more to come really soon as I am no longer relying on weather to continue with the Peugeot:
Peugeot before mesh oh and you may notice dark areas I know about these and they do not bother me because the waterslides will cover them.

Peugeot after mesh (Yeh I know that the lip got smashed while I meshed it i foresaw this but im not really worried that part will not come off becuse the mesh is glues to it so yeh not a biggy. Lights in to but I still gotta set up the light kit:

And here is the Blackwood:

Yup very sex IMO. Never put to much thinner in with to little paint I found this out the hard way.

More to come soon
Shallows

EDIT: In the progress of mounting the rear *Very easy with this car* but the front will have to wait but I have a question how long is a chassi spacer. I need to know this because I wanna make sure I buy the right a mount and not by so many and find out a need like 1 more since my orders from xi take 7-8days .

And another one:
Another updatey told you they would speed up which is good but too bad on the doubble post.

First up heres the rear mount this is EXCELLENT as the spacing is PERFECT and this is my first bodie/model mount and the front one will be done once I have got the certain amount of spacers I will need. Anyway heres the mount: Hot glue + styrene.

And also how long is each spacer in mm becuase I don't know ow many I need since this is the first time I am going to lengethen a chassis and the chassis atm is a medium sized so I think 1 or 2 but I don't really know heres some picture of where the wheel would sit atm. The rims are not the ones neither are the tyres so they look small lol:

And a roll cage *sure thats what they are called **Fake one* will not be propper. Can I get your guys honest opinion on this I think its ok but for space when its in the car I'm still deciding whether to keep or biff. I cannot make anotherone as I ran out of tubing it will be painted black too if its good.
Here are some pictures:

I have also painted the top plate black and the rest of the green bits will be done soon aswell. This car is turning out to be a bit rallyish so the springs will be hard and medium What tirerod should I use? I'm not to sure. There will be 1 seat in the car and that hass been painted red like the car too. it will be mounted with blu-tack as I will mostlikely not have this car always with this body on.

I have thought up the specs for my Peugeot too:
Full bearings *Covered*
Suspension Upgrade *Medium and Hard springs* *Tierod*
Stage 1 Motor with neos and maybe a 45t or which good amount of turns for stg 1 with 30g wire *Might be paternwound*
AWD
Lights
Custom Paint
Hard/Medium slick tires
Custom Interior
Custom Exaust
Custom Numberplate
Custom Body
Custom Scoop
800mah Rechargeables *All I have spare atm*
Scion TC Front Clip
Red Allu Knuckles

And thats all I can think of atm might be more later

Any comments are welcome

Again, I am impressed with the creativity of this forum.

Having been involved in more car forums then I can count, I see more creativity here then what people are willing to do to their real cars. Perhaps value has something to do with it...

Good work, excited to see the how they turn out.
