Default nuclear bomb in the savannah river?

well today in literature class we sorta got off topic from learning about types of poem (lol wayy off topic) and we somehow started talking about where we grew up. our literature teacher started talking about he grew up in savannah and how one of the power plants dumped nuclear waste into the savannah river, then he told us that there was a nuclear bomb down at the bottom that was still active that dated back to world war 2! he said that it was blocked off so that no one could get to it.. but still... if that sucker went off i only live atlanta... which is'nt that far from savannah when iy come to explosions. but im not sure this is real, im off to do some research, if anyone knows anything about it fell free to post it up!

Britain/Australia keep sounding safer and safer...

If its been in the mud for that long there has to be some radioactive decay. Regardless, people should stay way from there is toxic chemicals have been dumped in there. In MN we had a big thing going on with 2 headed retiles.

well first of all its spelt nuclear and second its most likely not true because think about it, they're gonna just drop a nuclear bomb in a lake or whatever and just leave it that sounds very realistic not

To dump a nuclear bomb in the Savannah river doesnt make since. I saw something about this on one of the Nat Geo or Discovery channels about this. How can someone be so dumb to just " well I'll just dump the bomb here and then I will tell stories about how its active" It might be a story someone made up, you would have to some serious research on this. I mean go to the health department find about water contamination, birth defects in children, what the wildlife in the water in the river is like healthy or mutated all that good stuff. I havent heard anything about people with radioactive posioning in Geogria unless those people have come forward and the government has put them in the hush hush.

If an active bomb is in there and the rumors are true about them spending money to find it and they stopped. The real America wouldnt stop looking for it. America has been looking for bin Laden for a long time and its costed well over 1m and lives...

Dont believe in it!

I actually live next door to sasquatch and he has the bomb your talking about.Hahah

If it has the nuclear device in it then surely whatever was around it would be dead or dying at the very least you would expect a noticeable spike in radiation for that area when compared to the natural radiation for the surrounding areas.

Thus logically if Wookies do not live on Endor it must not be a nuclear weapon, so if there is anything there it is nothing more than a shell casing.

If they public is really that concerned about it why not get something like a magnetometer and do a few high-level grid searches of the area, if the casing is still intact the magnetometer should be able to identify it but depending on whats in the river its highly likely that it has all rusted away.

The government spends billions of dollars every year on pointless crap so putting a ton of money into finding a big tin can is quite likely but you can't use that as a reason to be scared or to accuse them of hiding anything from you, they have their reasons and that's why they are the government plus I doubt this is the only nuclear device that's gone missing over the years.
