Sounds like either something shorted out or you crossed your positive and negative wires. Check all the wires and where they go. Do you see any burnt spots or are any wires not where they're supposed to be?
Pictures would also help. Cheers, Kyle.

check to mke sure no solder or wire is bridging across the solder joints. and go on XMF or xmoding.com to find the wiring diagram for the gen1. dunno where exactly it is, but it's there somewhere. make sure the polarity isn't reversed

Probably burned out the motor. I did that once.
PS- I always take a photo of the wiring with my cell phone before I starting taking the wires off to upgrade. This will give you a reference if you forget what wire was where. Helps alot. |

you burnt out your motor fets. your board has separate fets for the steering and the motor, i'd think that the stock fets would go out before the motor would burn up. you can either get a spider (external fet board) or put in some new fets.

Yeah could be, check the top of the fets for small white discolorization. or a spot. |

i looked at it again the the fets on the bottom dont have any discoloration but the ones on the top of the board have a red stripe across both of them.

hmm that does seem a little odd. you said your motor wont work right?
im guessing that you have fried them, make sure on both sides of board that your solder on the new wires isn't flowing onto anything else. but i would say they're fried. |

[QUOTE=youngxmodder;201177]not really, i want the gen 1 to be more of a show car that runs, dont care if stacked fets or not.
ill get a pic of it up in a little and there is like white stuff on the bottom of the metal plate under the board, i dont know what it is so if some explain it, that would help. QUOTE] Do this. unsolder the motor wires from the board. Touch them on the end of a 9v (or other) battery just to be sure it works. if it doesn't thats cool, just need a new motor. If it works then you know your fets are fried and you need new ones. |
