Default AAA lithium-ion batteries

For about a year now I have been thinking about doing a lithium xmods. I had originally planned to use a stiletto chassis with aa cells but since the stiletto is a little expensive. I have finally decided to use the original battery tray with 4 aaa liths in a 2s2p configuration. I like the idea but was wondering if anyone knows a good site to get aaa liths. (I know about atomicmods already)

Found this site, anyone know if its any good...http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=2598

I have purchased cell phone and house phone LiIon batteries from BatterySpace/Powerizer before without any problems. I would suspect that their LiIon AAA cells would be of the same quality, at least close quality.

Ebay has a lot of cheap kits that even come with the charger.

does it still increase your speed like the AAs do?

yes they make them,
http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/A...ry__13537.aspx

but no they are not better then the dual AA liths, honestly if your not getting the stiletto then your way better off getting these
http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/R...AH__14365.aspx

there a bit more expensive and a bit more heavier, but you will get alot more power from them, and the AAA liths i hear take about 1-2 hours to charge and do not have a very long battery life. just my 2 cents...

So inorder to use lithiums you have to stack your fets? I have the AA set up in my Gen-1 and its the stock board. I have the kit on its way for my Gen-2. Is lithiums to much power for the gen-2 board?

Lithium runs fine on stock boards. And to run 4 AAA lith-ions, you need to change it it 2S2P, cause the stock battery trays are wired in 4S and that would blow your board. It's 14v +....

And again, Hemikid I'm sorry for the threadjack.

Just use this. Its a 2 polymer pack. I had it on my xmod evo and they are great. You just clip off the old tray and double sided sticky tape these on. You can't beat the price with charger and they are lighter than the lithium AAA batts. They won't come off and are much cheaper and easier. Installation is easy but if you don't feel comfortable soldering on the board I offer the service for just $10.

If its a gen.1 just zip tie those suckers to the side like in this thread.

Thanks for the suggestion but really want to use the original battery tray to try to create a "sleeper", my car will look stock to the average xmoder but it will a ton faster than any stock xmods.

By the way have you used those battery packs of ebay before? Because while searching around the forum to learn about lithium batteries I found a few threads saying those batteries aren't good quality.

They worked very well for me. I've bought over 3 kits for the Xmod evo and my friend has a kit for the Xmod Gen.1 . They dont have voltage regulators so you have to remember to turn the car off when your done playing or overdischarge the batteries (this isnt easy to do). Same goes for your AAA lithium batteries. Honestly, I wouldn't do lithium on my car any other way.

Seriously, what is a sleeper really worth? I can install an ebay kit in 10-15 minutes and you get batteries and charger for 30 bucks?!

Run time- expect around 25 minutes on the ebay batteries.
