if they added exotics that beat all the other cars they woul be more expensive, and what would be the fun of competion for the winners or the losers, especialy young kids who will probably only get like one car they wouldn't know how to make it faster wheres the fun?

Wow, that wouldn't be half-bad.

If you're afraid to drive your Mini-Z in fear of wrecking it, either give it to me, or don't buy one at all... Seriously... Mini-Zs are far superior to XMODS... |

The biggest advantage to Mini-Zs are their electronics. They're precise, and you can use high-end (ie. $600+) transmitters with them. |

i've seen some stuff about them on atomic mods and all, but i was wandering why so many people prefer four wheel drive instead of two, i've heard 4wd is better for drifting, is that true?

At this scale AWD is just easier to drift with. Color0 is the only person I know who can successfully drift a RWD 1:28th scale RC.

RWD requires alot of finesse to properly drift. AWD requires a good bit aswell but RWD has the tendancy to kick out regardless of over/understeer. this is where throttle response comes into play. with my setup(foam tires and high polished hardwood floors) it takes little to no effort to drift AWD. RWD drifting is tricky but not impossible. the trick to RWD drifting is finding the best suspension/tire-surface/motor-gearing and throttle control. and remember that drifting is about finesse and not speed(full throttle). the best way to start off drifting is to put your remote in low and walk through the turns. once you do this for awhile and get used to the positions you need to make the turns, kick it into high and increase your response times. even with this your going to find that drifting with 1:28 is tricky but with a bit of practice you'll be starring in "2F2F Xmodsdrift" in no time. you guys are asking alot out of a toy. if you want hobby grade electronics and chassis' then buy a **** mini-z. afterall, the mini-z will be cheaper to get hobby grade then anything ratshack would put out. if RS built and sold an Xmod with all of the performance upgrades you guys are asking for, they would be well in the $200.00 range. let's keep it simple and realistic please...... now, is there any chance of getting this thread back on topic??

^^^^^ I wasn't asking for real great cars but whatever, you are right about the expensive stuff, and i think most people are drawn to xmods cuz of their price #1 then their customizability #2 and finally their quality#3 (although first time buyers would not know) , am i right?

maybe they're not working on a third gen. that would really..., you know wat i'm gonna say...be bad
maybe if we show enough interest they'll reconsider, maybe if every one here sent them like ten e-mails, i'd hate to spamme them but maybe its the only way, then again if they're meant to come out they eventually will |

yea...the veilside bodykit is too common...another manufactor should help out with the bodykits...but seriously if radioshack did come out with an S2000 or any new xmod they would have to step the game up with the accessory selection because there wasn't too many to choose from...thats the main reason i decided to get mine painted so it wouldn't blend in with the other mods out there...
