I was told by my girlfriend (that works at an RS in Florida "Southeast coast") that the Southeast will be getting the new xmods in October. I think she said late October.

I really dont care for the new xmods, unless they have a brand new style chassis (which I doubt they do).

yeah i am hoping that they are based on a new chassis. That would seal the deal for me. im somewhat excited, but when i think about it, its basically just new bodys on the evo chassis.....from what i know.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but according to the the catalog, the upgrades are for the Evo Xmods, not a new chassis.

Well, I think they will make another gen if these sell good. I think they are seeing if people are still interested in xmods, and if so, then maybe a 3rd gen will be produced maybe for the Holidays. Who knows though....I mean, I don't mind the evo chassis, but it would be nice to have a new chassis.

this is 1 reason i stopped Xmods long ago....
InterTan doesnt put out anything worth mentioning really?

back when GEN1's were 1st introduced i was gung-ho for these things, then the GEN2's were popped out on the market and i dropped off the xmod planet cuz i cant stand those things. Sure...they were a tad quicker out of the box but imho....GEN1's will always be #1!

they should have simply kept that platform and upgraded it perhaps?
like an alloy pan style chassis, better ECB, perfected the suspension a bit better. Then included a better motor for them which btw if they had upgraded the ECB to begin with would have had stacked FETs to do with.

i dunno.....i like Xmods, just dont care for InterTan 1 bit
Not too mention the plastic & electronics they use is garbage! they could have used plastic with memory & took more time with the ECB and such like the bigger scale RCs

i agree with torredo, to an extent. i personally like the gen 1's better than the evo's. it is pretty lame that they are basically packaging up evo's that can be had for 13 bucks right now, putting a new car body on it and re-selling it for 50(im assuming thats the price).....weak

We don't know this for a fact. They could've upgraded the internals, but kept the same basic chassis. We just have to wait till Monday to find out.
