Default An Xmod, a German, and Wipeout?!

German designer Malte Jehmlich built a cardboard rendition of Playstation's famous game Wipeout. This scaled down version sports a gaming chair where you control the Xmod and a webcam streaming live-feed as you cruise around the track.

I know there are a lot of crazy German Xmod fabricators, between body work and paint, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Cheers,
Kyle

Man, this guy figured it out in a near perfect way! The only weired thing i thought was controlling the throttle with the lever, if only it was a gas pedal :P thanks for the enterainment donzi, that was amazing!!!!!

Man. If it didn't flip over so easy, I would be very impressed. It's a little top heavy.
Are the items he used for this listed anywhere. I'd love to make something similar.

Noooo! LAAAAAAG, lol.

now all they need is a smaller camera, and fit a body ontop so it looks like you are in the seats. Oh and they should also get crackin on some gas pedals.

I agree it seems he could have just as easy built a plate that mount cameras on the sides like wings.

Thats crazy! Whats really crazy is that this guy went through all that trouble and time/money then used an Xmod instead of the better handling MIni-Z. Kind of out of context for this serious of a setup.

If you don't mind a late reply, the more expensive GoPro Hero Cam on atomicmods.com would probably be your best choice as it was designed for this purpose. Only thing is I don't think you could hook it to a wireless receiver to feed video to a monitor.
