I bought the Gen1 for running in my flat, but the turning circle was much too big. So i drove the car on the street and soon it was broken. Now i bought an Evo (Lancer) in the hope that it works well in my flat. And it does
20-30cm turning circle is great. We made our own track with cardboard plates and its great fun, 2 days later i bought a Mustang (EVO) because i want to race with friends and a race must have at least two cars
Of course i vote for the evos, they are so much better.

Generation 1 is better then EVO. Gen 1 is easier to work on and it is better for everything. Say Custumizing, Say something got broken' it would be easier to get the parts.

SO my vote is for GENERATION 1!!!!!

Evo... Because the Gen1 is a bit outdated, and one day, RS will stop making parts for them. The Evo is new, sure its got faults, but its still new, and there's lots of time to have it get better.

The Evos are out in Canada. What do you mean? I thought HPI is just the distributor for Xmods in Japan, not a producer.

And XmodsRC.com shows that all the Gen1's are retired.

I think the Gen1's are probably better than the Evo's. I own a Gen1 Vette while my sister owns a Lancer and so far I've upgraded mines with most of what I need (Save for the metal bearings and new tires, although i do have the drifting kit) but before all that, I prefered the way my Vette handled over the Lancer. Plus, mine has lasted a little longer than my sisters, since we both got our RCs at about the same time, but recently her suspension just "broke" off (from what she has told me, I haven't examined it yet) while my rc is still ticking with no problems.

I vote Gen1. They cost less, personally I prefer their handling out of the box, plus I'm a muscle fan (Camaro, 'Stang, you know the deal).
